    The other way
If you are an academic or backpacking student then this campus might be of interest to see how Chinese education works, The recently refurbished main entrance is impressive and imposing. However beyond leaves a lot to be desired, broken pavements, roads badly in need of resurfacing and antiquated dormitories. To sit by the lotus ponds and hear the birds singing can be very relaxing but the constant chattering of students with smartphones glued to their hands can be disturbing. However, if you are in need of some authentic Chinese cuisine, then the many street food stalls will satisfy your taste buds. One is mindful that this is a functional University and not really a 'tourist' attraction.

    Nothing special here
I don't know why people would want to visit this campus other than for documentary reasons or excessive time to kill. I study here and it's not an especially beatiful campus. The architecture isn't splendid, the roads are average, the dorm buildings are boring, the lakes don't have anything special, and the people just go about their business. This university is a tool without being a work of art. As soon as you have seen the massive and somewhat impressive main building near the main gate (don't go inside, it's a waste of good time), turn around and go to 民族大学 (Mínzú Dàxué - University of Nationalities, i. e. minorities) instead. Their campus is much more beatiful and less dangerous, too (no e-bikes and better sewer lids). This is not a joke, you might actually suffer injuries walking around on this campus here.
