Great place to visit

This is an amzing site to see. We went when the colour of the rice was changing from green to yellow , absolutely beautiful . There is a cable car to go up the hill but the climb is not to serious . If you are pressed for time take the cable car up and down otherwise enjoy the views and walk through the rice terraces.

    A must see in China
This is a truly stunning area: we spent a day here wandering around through the terraces and villages. We were taken there by a driver from our hotel and wandered around in our own. You can get a coffee and / or food in the villages and see people working in the fields. It is really stunning scenery and a must see. Ample opportunity for great photos in different lights. We started off in the Pinang area, dropped off in the car park and wandered around the rice terraces, viewpoint, Pinang village and back to the car park. We then went to Jinkeng by car and found we didn’t have enough time before dark to walk up to the top and the cable car wasn’t running however we got the local tourist bus up to the top. The bus dropped us off and we had a wander around there too. Fantastic views and a little different to the first area. Definitely recommend seeing both areas. Some Local ladies selling goods; interesting to see them and try to have a little chat with them too. They’re not too pushy and their goods are very reasonably priced and they’re trying to make a living. They’re happy for photos too. When our daughter visited last year she walked from one area to the other but you need time to allow this and plan accordingly.
