Nijmegen’s best known bridge

We got excellent views of all Nijmegen’s bridges as we travelled in from 's-Hertogenbosch, especially Waalbrug above the Waal, a branch of the Rhine. It’s located near many small beaches and the area appears to be a popular spot especially during good weather. Apparently the bridge is over six-hundred metres long and of course it played a part to operations during World War II.

Round shape
I didn’t go cross this bridge but saw from the river. The round shape is quite impressive. If you go to valkhofbunker, you’ll see the the photos of the fallen bridge from WW2. This bridge is important not only for transport but also to tell the history.

Just some nice night shots from the Waalbrug. This famous bridge is currently under renovation. Hike or bike this bridge for an amazing view over Nijmegen.
