Wonderful place to visit
What a beautiful place to visit, even on a cold day. We could easily spend an entire day here. We were lucky enough to have a tour with Mandy and Paul who were knowledgeable about the area, and happy to give ideas for other trips for our week in Amsterdam. The exhibits are beautifully cared for and it feels as though you have stepped back in time. The pancake house looked incredible, and smelt even better, with incredibly kind and helpful staff. The surroundings are stunning and peaceful - perfect for a day out with the family: there are fun interactive exhibits for the children to take part in, as well as marvel at the beautiful surroundings. We can’t to visit again. Thank you Mandy and Paul!

Great Overview of Dutch History
I am an American who went to visit my Dutch boyfriend. We spent a day at this museum and it was wonderful! It helped me gain a lot of insight into Dutch history & culture during different time periods. The only downside to the visit is that some features were closed due to COVID-19 and the windmill was closed on the inside for maintenance so we were unable to go inside it. I recommend that you set aside most of a day for this museum, especially if you want to see everything.
