Beautiful 14th Century Castle
The Ampsen castle is a private property so it's not open for the public but we can have a walk in the estate. There's so many old oak trees and we saw grassing "Lakenvelder cattle" on the castle yard. We saw the beautiful castle from the other side of the water and also enjoyed the beautiful sunset

Great area for a walk with your family.
Great area for a walk with your family. First time ever visiting Lochem, and I really can recommend you to give this lovely place a visit. Be aware that you cannot go inside the fence towards the majestic building since it is private.
