First Fridays (the first Friday (duh) of the month March - December ,5 - 8PM "officially"), is all that makes this town a great place to be concentrated along Court Street in downtown Florence. Local artisans and entertainers line the streets, selling their wares, performing, or just passing the time with you. Shops stay open later, restaurants stay open even later, and great people watching abound! The local music scene is well represented from the excellent street musicians to those performing in the restaurants. The stage on Mobile Plaza headlines top local music covering most all genres ( and Florence IS a great place for local music!). A do not miss if you are in the area ....

First Time
A lady that I was dating a couple of years ago kept talking about First Fridays. Stephanie was big on this event. I usually had my kids and couldn't go. Then I was dating Teisha last year and didn't get to go. I went for the first time this evening and was impressed. Downtown was jumping with restaurants, shops, and such open. Lots of sidewalk booths set up with crafts and goods. There was also live music. Nice event to attend.

Taking A First Friday Stroll
First Friday's have helped to revitalize the DownTown Florence Streets! Vendors of every kind, from a rock polisher selling his wares to music to dance to and sing along with. It's family friendly, easy to walk about and plenty to enjoy!
