Zadar Cathedral, Dalmatia, Croatia

Pretty cathedral

A very beautiful cathedral in the center of the town. The interior of the cathedral is very calm and the wooden beams in top are simplistic and nice. There is a click tower which costs 20hrk to climb and has gorgeous views of the town. Easy to climb: 200 odd stairs

    Beautiful!!!
This church is absolutely beautiful! I went in and sat for a bit to take it all in for there is so much to see. I love history and I love churches so this was a win/win for me. One is allowed to take photos but please dress appropriately (there are signs for no shorts for men and women). I happened to be passing by later in the day and heard the organ music. I went back in and sat for a couple of pieces played by a very skilled organist. They played for about 30 minutes after I got there. Sitting and listening to such beautiful music in such a setting (and amazing acoustics), I saw a few more details that I had missed my first visit. It is free to go in, but like most churches of old, donations are appreciated. I highly recommend this church. Take the time to sit and really take it all in.

    Quaint Church, Bell Towet
The church itself is very old, with a distinctive Pietà and ceramic sculptures. The altar is under à baldaquin which looks like a mini St-Peter’s with spiral columns. It is not very big: entrance is free. The Bell tower costs 2 euros and has quite a few narrow steps where a handrail is very useful. Beware of rude tourists making their way up or down in this narrow space. If you are mobility challenged, forget this activity. Kids will love the view of the city and water on three sides from the top.
