Velika Raduća Beach, Dalmatia, Croatia

4.5 (175 reviews) Spent 2-3 hours Ranking #3 in Sibenik-Knin County Beaches

Just great beach to take the rest on !

In the summer 2004 year, as I said in my previous review about Trogir City, we spent our vacation in the gorgeous dalmatian little town, Primosten near the Sibenik to the north. We particularly loved the very nice,Velika Raduca Beach. Here in Primosten, wherever You go, there are some cute,small-pebbled beaches, ideal to be on, either for bathing, swimming, diving or taking the sun. This beach is located on the isle of Raduc and is one of the oldest and most popular beaches of Croatia. No wonder that Primosten is also called, "the beach city", since the total length of the beaches is 20 km. If You come here in this region of Croatian sea coast, that is, between the Sibenik and Split, do not miss this very pleasant place. As to the beach, it is very well equipped, with showers, toilets, changing cubicles, trampolines for children, chaise lounges, umbrellas and catamarans.

Great beach with lovely view of old town.
Good long curved stretch of beach with crystal clear water for swimming. Beach is pebbly/stony so you definitely need rubber shoes on, impossible to walk on and get into the sea without. Behind the beach is a traffic free promenade lined with bars, cafes, tourist shops, takeaways etc., everything you need basically. Beds and parasols are available to hire, they were 20 kunas (£2.50) per bed and same for a parasol for the full day. When we were there in June there were several attractions for younger children, bouncy castle, trampolines etc. It's a lovely relaxing place to be with great view of old town.

    Great water
It's small so in the summer it gets very busy and some of the tourists do not understand personal space so they'll literally bump into you and look at you like "why didn't you move out of my way!" Plus I hate rock beaches because you have to wear shoes or the rocks will tear up your feet. But I realize almost every beach in Croatia is a rock beach so I can't really complain about that.
