Skradinski Buk Waterfall, Dalmatia, Croatia

4.0 (93 reviews) Spent More than 3 hours Ranking #2 in Sibenik-Knin County Waterfalls

Well worth the journey

It's relatively easy to get the bus from Split to the Krka National Park although it's best to prebook bus tickets as they get pretty full even though its no longer peak season. You can easily spend either a full or half day at the park but we spent the afternoon just at the Skradinski Buk falls which are beautiful. The entrance ticket includes the cost of the boat trip to the falls & is a great start to the visit. Avoid the food & drink offering inside the park as what's available in the village of Skradin is much nicer & reasonably priced

    Great morning out.
Lovely time there. Its amazing to see all these waterfalls. The views are amazing and there are so many fish in the pools which are crystal clear. There are designated walkways to guide you through the park. There are many a view point, however, depending on how busy the park is, you maybe waiting sometime to get to these view points etc. There are 2 ways to get down to the waterfalls from the car park, 1 is walk, or get a bus. The walk is steep in places, and lots of loose stones and rocks, so watch your footing. We walked down when dry, and it was quite dusty. However, our walk back was in the middle of a torrential down pour, so the climb was a bit slippy. There are numerous buses to get you to the park and back at a slight cost, but cant remember the cost. Only drawback was, we entered the car park, and parked next to other cars, only to be asked to move our cars to another area, as Buses were parking there. When we got back to car after visit, the spaces we originally occupied before being asked to move were full of cars, and no buses in sight, so not sure why we were singled out to move? Obviously there is a cost to enter the national park to view the falls, approx 200 per adult, slightly less for kids. You can not now swim in the pools, but you can apparently swim in pools further down stream, which we never made to due to the rain.
