Roski Slap, Dalmatia, Croatia
4.0 (198 reviews) Spent Ranking #5 in Sibenik-Knin County Nature & Wildlife Areas • Waterfalls
One of the best experiences of mine.
We got there at 18:40 and just had 20 minutes to visit, which was nothing. But nobody was there and the lake was so quiet and calm. The view was perfect in the sunset light and it turned to one of the most memorable moments of our trip.

Proper National Park with less tourists
We arrived to Krka National Park early in the morning and did Skradinski buk before mad crowd of tourists arrived. Afterwards we took our car and drove to Roski Slap (about 30 mins drive). This is much quieter part. We didn’t need to buy another ticket as it valid for all entrances. There is a beautiful lake where you can swim about 5 mins walk from the car park. If you are there- have lunch in Kristijan! You can sit with your legs in the waterfall if you want. It’s simple menu of ham , cheese and salad but with delicious bread and nice olive oil was very tasty. We brought our own sandwiches but decided to have lunch there anyway as it was so tempting. Afterwards we climbed 500m to see prehistoric cave. It’s quite small but fascinating considering it’s so high up! The steps are very well maintained and was easy to climb. The views from the top are spectacular. On the way back we crossed the bridge and walked on the other bank of the river completing the loop to the car park. While doing stopped for an ice cream (only 10k vs 15 in Skradinski buk). I’m so glad we saw this part of the park! I think there are other trails that you can do but it was 4pm by the time we finished and we started at 9am in the Park. Kids were keen to go back to the pool. Would highly recommend not to miss it as it creates totally different impression of this place. We loved it!
