I arrived in Chongqing alone during the summer vacation. I really like this place. As soon as we arrived in Chongqing , we understood why Chongqing was called " mountain city ".The architecture and scenery here will make us feel very unique.The people here are so enthusiasm that I feel like coming home. Chongqing's food is very spicy, which is exactly what I like to eat. For example, the hot pot here, Chongqing noodles,Hot and sour noodles are my favorites. This is the paradise of spicy eaters. The night scenery of Chongqing is very beautiful. The most famous is Hongya cave, which is called the real-life spired away. It is full of technology and the future. But the roads in Chongqing are very complicated and it is easy to get lost. In summer, the weather is also very dry and hot, so it is necessary to take precautions. In a word, Chongqing is a very worthwhile place to visit. It will give you a different experience.

So Cool but Crowded
We hit this attraction during National Week at night so it was very busy. You are surrounded by restaurants, souvenir shops, food stalls and some of the most picturesque views in the city. We thought the crowds were a bit much at the beginning but found some areas were quite secluded and quiet. It is a steep area so bring good shows so you can walk up/down.

Beautiful Lights - Partially Dark Due to Flood Damage (Sep 2020)
This is a 10 story, underground shopping complex that contains a lot of interesting sights, from raw jade rocks to old coins and memorabilia. There is also a lot of small eats that you can try. It is a bit crowded at night but opens pretty late so you will get to everything. There are tons of people taking pictures due to the pretty lights, which unfortunately, were partially damaged by the recent flood. You could spend about 3-4 hours just browsing around the different shops. Prepared to walk a lot.
