Back in time
Ciqikou is an old town which has now turned into a tourist spot. The street is full of shops lining at both sides selling all sorts of things from handicraft, souvenir, food to ear cleaning service. You can actually spend a whole day here if you are looking for things to shop. Just stop at each shop and savor the goodies sample, drink tea at some tea houses, pamper your ear by allowing the expert to clean it for you. Highly recommended for shoppers alike.

Ancient town
We enjoyed spending half a day here. There was a lot to see and do. There are a lot of shops selling the same kinds of things - mostly spices and small souvenirs. We went to see a Sichuan opera show which we really enjoyed. There were also a lot of good snacks to try here. We enjoyed looking at some of the porcelain. We also really enjoyed looking around the temple. Make sure to go down some of the side streets which are much quieter and less commercial so you can get a real feel for the place.
