Simply an amazing experience! The solders (Paul and Zachary) gave us a private tour completely free of charge. Their English was of very good level and the quality of the tour was excellent. There are 4 buildings included in the tour namely the main building which was residential, the vet's , the medical and a winery and there is also a grave. It is an extremely interesting locale with a fascinating story. The whole experience gets better with the wholeheartedly welcoming soldiers who are eager to help out. The only suggestion I would have is that there should be local products promoted.See more..
The World War I & Battle of Skra Museum has been operating since May 2002 in a specially designed space. The idea of creating the Museum belongs to the Cultural Association of Skra, which the Municipality of Axioupolis embraced and realized with great emotion. The exhibition of the Museum presents relics, photographs and historical documents from the Macedonian Front of World War Ι and from one of the most important battles for Greeks the 'Battle of Skra'.See more..
