What the website says, makes you curious: "AaltoAlvari Aquatic Centre is the most popular sports venue in the city. AaltoAlvari is originally designed by the famous architect Alvar Aalto. It is a great venue for competitive and recreational swimming and other water activities. In AaltoAlvari one can also enjoy the spa section and join the instructed fitness classes". However, when you are there, the experience overcomes expectations: a lot of different pools, all sort of whirlpools and water activities, efficient and clean facilities in a warm atmosphere where you can have a grasp of Finnish ways to enjoy sport.
