Great Little Museum!
This was free because we went on a Sunday (I think), but would be more than with the 3 euro admission fee. Lots of nice art, really good signage (which is lacking at other attractions in Toledo), and it’s the perfect size (would recommend 45-60 minutes). Learned a lot about El Greco and Toledo. Would definitely recommend.

Packs a lot in
On two previous trips to Toledo, I missed out on visiting this compact but fine museum. It is well laid out with good signage/explanation throughout. While El Greco’s work mightn’t be to everyone’s’ taste, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing his work up-close, especially the Apostolate Collection – it was good to be able to take photographs throughout. It was a bonus too to see some of Ribera’s paintings on display. For art lovers I would strongly recommend making time to see this unusual master’s great work.

Well worth a visit!
When we went entrance was free but even when there is an entrance charge it is very minimal and will be well worth the experience! A beautifully laid out venture, nothing like what you would expect of a museum - certainly not stuffy or dry!! he gardens were a delight and very relaxing to sit in. The artworks of El Greco and his contemporaries and followers were very well presented in a reconstruction of his house that used to stand on this site. It was a fascinating insight into this often controversial artist´s work. Would certainly say this is a must see for anyone visiting Toledo
