MEXX the Cooking School offers a one day practical hands - on course, demonstrations, Team Building or Private Evening Class that have been created for EVERYONE. Our philosophy regarding preparing and cooking food in our class is simple. We believe a hand - on training in the kitchen is the best way to learn how to cook. We also like you to be able to cook all dishes yourself at home by using our well described and exact recipes as guidance. For this reason we only show you the Indonesian way of preparing and cooking with traditional equipment, but we will cook with normal cooking/kitchen ware which every western Kitchen is equipped with. There will be no need for you to buy any additional expensive cooking utensils to prepare the dishes when you are at home. Let's get started and be ready to have some fun together. Such a great experience
My partner and I went to MEXX to experience their half day cooking class. We had such a great time, it was wonderful learning about taking Balinese and Indonesian cooking. Not only is MEXX a great cooking class, but it is also a great social initiative. They employ local workers in everything they do and you can really tell that they are passionate about their community.

Absolute Must Do Cooking School
Pick up and drop off from Hotel to Erlinda's school located in Tabanan makes it so accessible. The day starts with market visit along the way and all your questions are answered about everything on Indonesian cuisine. You arrive at school and start with a spice lesson and receive a cookbook to write in your notes and all the recipes are written clearly and easy to follow. Then you cook, learn, listen, laugh and share cooking stories and before you know it you are upstairs eating what you have just prepared and it is delicious! This was such a highlight for my husband and I and have made the fish curry since coming home to Australia and cant wait to make the next dish Thanks Mexx's Cooking School it was a privilege to share this time with you.
