A place not to be missed!

A few steps from Switzerland is the magnificent Lake Annecy. Its green and blue hues are sure to charm you. Surrounded by breathtaking mountains, the lake extend between Annecy and Doussard. I advise you to go there in spring or summer, to be able to take full advantage of the cycle track which surrounds it. Many beaches border this lake with turquoise waters and allow you to enjoy its fresh water with your family. To get around the lake it is better to use the bike or public transport, as many car parks are not free of charge even if they have the advantage of being close to the beaches. After enjoying the beauty of the lake, I advise you to go for a walk in the old town of Annecy to eat a little ice cream. You can also go up to the Col de la Forclaz to overlook this magnificent body of water. Have a nice trip!

    Beautiful Lake, take the 50A and 60 bus for a scenic view!
    Beautiful lake, water looks green and jelly-like, reminded me a bit of Lake Bled! Beautiful place to take photos. Unfortunately it was too cold and rainy to go on the treading boats, but in summer I can imagine this would be lovely. Take either the 50A bus or the 60 (Talloires Montmin) bus from the Gare d'Annecy for a scenic drive along either side of the lake.

    Lake Annecy by Boat - An amazing day.
    Boat hire from Pierre via Click and Boat rating-stars (26) Offered by Pierre Port Des Marquisats, Annecy BAYLINER — 175 BR (2019) We didn't meet Pierre but his partner Kim was a fantastic host. Having rescheduled twice due to bad weather, we were collected from our village, and had the option to go anywhere around the lake, and stop when we wanted. An amazing way to see the area. Special event as it was to celebrate 25 years since we've been there and to celebrate joint 80th birthdays
