Nice wide walkways and gardens along the lake. Not the most exciting town I've ever visited

Good air quality. We visited out of season and many places, including the funicular railway, were closed. Walk by the lake was lovely as we had an open, sunny day. Pleasant enough and of coursebthenlake and scenery are beautiful and atmospheric. Lausanne / Ouchy on the Swiss side of the lake are on a grander and more appealing scale

    Also known as Lake Geneva
    Lac Léman is a freshwater lake and the largest in Switzerland is shared between France and Switzerland, overlooked by the Alps. On the southern, French side, is the spa town and resort of Évian-les-Bains. The Castle Chillon is located on the lake.

    Boat trip from Lausanne to Evian
    I like coming to Evian on a sunny day and walk along the lake before going for a great lunch. I usually come from Lausanne Switzerland which opposite Evian on the other side of the lake and the trip takes about a half hour. Great excursion from Lausanne
