After escaping from The Matrix a few months back, we opted to try The Diamond and I think that decision was probably the wrong one. Not that the room was bad, the room is good. However after already having tried another 2 similar rooms from other companies (i.e. break into a vault & steal something) and having experience with much more difficult rooms that this 3.5/5 we ended up not enjoying it as much as we should have. So, I'll try to be objective and ignore the lack of excitement due to the above. The room pits the team as burglars trying to steal a precious diamond from a high security bank. The room setup is nothing too impressive, specifically in the first room but this is improved later on. It requires a fair combination of searching and solving with some interesting riddles. I'd say it is a fairly easy one, especially with the help of the GM, so I'd suggest it mainly for beginner teams.See more..

We visited Mystery Lab on the first night of our Athens trip, and had booked to play 3 of their rooms - Psycho, Enigma, and Requiem. We played as a group of 2 and found it manageable but we have played a large number of games before! All 3 rooms we played were brilliant - Psycho has a great start to it, Enigma has strong puzzles throughout, and Requiem... Requiem is in a league of its own. A completely different experience to most escape rooms - it’s a 2-hour long experience that is incredibly immersive. You will feel like your playing the leading role in a psychological horror movie. Trapped Chalandri is located close to the busy centre of Chalandri, so take that into account if you plan to visit by car, it might take a while to find a parking space. At the time of our visit (and it's been a while) it offered just one room, Experimentum X, however it has since expanded to a second room, Daylight, which we haven't tried yet. Having enjoyed most of Trapped's room in its other 2 locations at Palaio Faliro and Neos Kosmos, this room was the logical next step. Straight from the room's description it is obvious this is a room out of the ordinary. You are supposedly entering an experiment that will test your abilities and limits. You should come in comfortable athletic clothing and claustrophobics or acrophobics are not allowed. Not to mention that the room is 2 hours long and its difficulty level is set to X/10. So what was this room about after all? Well, it definitely focusses mainly on the action element. That is not to say there are no puzzles, but solving most of them requires some level of physical activity and this may make this room slightly more difficult for some players. On the other hand though the puzzles are not that difficult, so potentially even a less experienced team might be able to escape in time without too much need for the game master's hints. As an example our fairlly experienced team managed to escape with around 45 minutes to spare. The design of the room(s) is very nice though they could do a bit more work with the atmosphere. All in all, we had a really nice time and enjoyed this out of the ordinary action escape room. Not sure if it was due to its uniqueness, but I guess we won't know unless more similar rooms open, which we haven't encountered yet. I'd definitely recommend it for any type of groups, as long as they are comfortable with a bit of action (nothing extreme).See more..
