    - Holy and powerful shakti temple

    Kamakhya Temple image
A holy place and one of the most revered shakti peeths in India. Anyone who goes to Assam tries to visit this temple for darshan. The godess shakti here is covered in clothes all the time so it's hard to see or touch the original stone inside the main shrine. There's usually a long waiting line and a special VIP darshan on paying extra money. There are a group of temples in this complex and it is very crowded all the time. The gold lions at the entry are just too good to look at. Very holy place so be responsible and respectful, covered clothes is a good idea. There is also a live animal sacrifice temple, so if you have proble with such visuals, avoid going that side. See more..

With my wife I visited the Balaji Temple Guwahati on 9 March 2020. The temple gives a glimpse of Balaji Temple of Tirupati in the city in Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh. While roaming in the Balaji Temple Guwahati, the memory Venkateswara Temple, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam flushed in my mind. The city is home to most famous and important Vaishnavite shrine of Tirumala Venkateswara Temple and other historic temples. Apart of the Balaji Temple we viewed the deity in the Padmavati Temple. The picturesque view of everything inside the temple demands admiration of any visitor. On the left side of the entrance there is counter for selling Prasadam. The address, timings is seasons, and other relevant information you will get from the website. Do not forget to collect Prasadam of God balaji. I took a photo of the entance gate from outside.
