We took a helicopter tour with Matanuska Glacier Helicopters and had a wonderful time. First, a quick flight up to the glacier where we landed for a fantastic hike with our guide. There was nothing like being way up on the glacier, just us, listening to nothing but the glacier! Hiking around, seeing the features, tasting the glacial waters... it was amazing. Then we were picked up by the copter and treated to a longer flight over the glacier and the surrounding area. Indescribably beautiful. The experience was a once in a lifetime adventure.

Unforgettable ice-climbing ultimate helicopter adventure!
Thank you, MICA Guides and Matanuska Glacier Helicopters Team, for an absolutely incredible day on the ice! My fiancé and I could not have been happier with our experience. The glacier was beautiful, and taking the helicopter allowed us to get far up the glacier onto pristine white ice with small streams and pools of brilliant blue water. Our guide was Lacie, and she was awesome! She made sure that ice-climbing was safe but also adventurous, exhilarating, picturesque, etc etc. We would also highly recommend staying with Alpenglow Luxury Camping the night before or after your day on the glacier.
