    Free local museum in downtown
The museum is located in the heart of downtown in a shopping arcade on the second floor. There are two parts. One has a gold mining display and a local art exhibit. The other has information about dog sledding and area history.

This is a great place to learn about Fairbanks's history
You have to search a little to find this museum on the second floor of a co-op building in downtown Fairbanks, and it was well worth the search. This is a modest museum which provides you with some of the best information about the history of Fairbanks. Free to the public, it was worth the donation I gave. I felt I learned so much about Fairbanks and dog sledding by going to this museum.
