Such a fabulous theater in every respect! The popcorn is made fresh and served hot. I like to get the bucket that I buy at the beginning of the year for a special price, that you can have refills just for a few dollars. The theaters are comfortable with fairly new seats and all the theaters' sound quality is always perfect. The staff is fabulous! My wife and I have passed by this place a hundred times, always on our way to someplace else. Until today. After weeks of isolation we've been playing catchup wherever we can. Miniature golf course were all the rage twenty years ago but now they are scarcer than Bear's Super Bowl wins. Recently reopened it's a fun, jungle themed venue, full of faux snakes, Mayan statues, and roaring waterfalls. There's even a wayward explorer caught in quicksand. The course itself is fairly clean obstacle wise, the greatest threat to your game being the screaming kids coming up your rear. Go early at opening if you can while little Johnny is just waking up. Bartenders here were absolutely wonderful, super nice peeps that make you feel special while handing you a delicious cup of beautifully crafted liquid gold. Cousin to the Hollywood Palms cinema in Naperville, this theater is likewise paying homage to the glory of movies past. Not quite as ornate as the Palms it still has plenty of movie posters and props to set the stage so to speak. There's a cool car from the Blues Brothers movie to greet you from the front rooftop. The "Boulevard" inside is plastered with photos of all the great stars both present and past. Each theater, and there are at least eight, has a different theme. Ours was Star Wars, death star included. Unlike the Palms the seating has not be upgraded to recliners and still has the less comfortable desk chairs. Dining and a full bar is part of the deal. I had the Santa Monica shrimp and fries and it was very good. My wife had the chicken fingers and they were a bit dry. Service was decent although a call button would be handy. Stopped by here to catch the Thursday night football game. The game wasn't to good. But, the music was amazing. Small front Bar with live blues band. Spent 2-3 hours Bowling Alleys
With many local bowling places closing - this is one of the last bowling alley's in the area. It is very large and offers bowling, mini golf (In season), arcade area, pool and of course a bar! They also do serve food here. It really is a great thing to still get out and do things and NOT be glued to our phones. Great for a groups or couples. Show rentals for a fee are needed.
