Hollywood Blvd. A Cinema, Bar, & Eatery, Illinois, United States

Hurray For Hollywood, Again

Cousin to the Hollywood Palms cinema in Naperville, this theater is likewise paying homage to the glory of movies past. Not quite as ornate as the Palms it still has plenty of movie posters and props to set the stage so to speak. There's a cool car from the Blues Brothers movie to greet you from the front rooftop. The "Boulevard" inside is plastered with photos of all the great stars both present and past. Each theater, and there are at least eight, has a different theme. Ours was Star Wars, death star included. Unlike the Palms the seating has not be upgraded to recliners and still has the less comfortable desk chairs. Dining and a full bar is part of the deal. I had the Santa Monica shrimp and fries and it was very good. My wife had the chicken fingers and they were a bit dry. Service was decent although a call button would be handy. By the way, the handprints on the lobby wall showed my hand to be as big as Arnold's, so there.

    Great for film buffs
We've been going to Hollywood Boulevard for many years now. Their uniquely decorated theaters and special screenings add to the experience of 'going to the movies'. Food is served at your seat during the film, adding to the fun.

    Bad Behavior
Took my grandson to this establishment to see Black Panther. Venue was nice, comfortable, and food was better than I remembered from long ago visit. Unfortunately, the patrons talked loudly all through the movie. People were on their phones, babies were crying, and people were just rude and inconsiderate. It was disappointing that management chose not to eject people who were behaving badly.
