The park, located off of I94, provides easy access to a Native American medicine wheel. Designed and built by Native Americans to track the seasons and movement of the stars, the park offers some picnic tables, explanatory signs, and plenty of places for dogs or kids to run around. Those visiting should keep in mind that the stones are laid out in an astronomical alignment so please do not disturb or move them. See more..

Fantastic! I thought the photos made it look amazing and very long, but to stand there and see it in person is just excellent. The bridge is huge! I was excited just to see it, and then thought I heard a train in the distance, which would have been the ultimate experience, but it never did arrive and we had to be on our way. So worth pulling off the highway to see this bridge for yourself. It's quite something. Nice park too! See more..
  5. 4.5 Sheyenne River Valley National Scenic Byway (15 reviews)
    - A nice, but somewhat sort drive...
    Scenic Drives
Road follows the Sheyenne River from Lake Ashtabula South to Fort Totten. Though from Kathryn south it's all gravel. Some interesting sights along the way. I didn't make it to the Rosebud visitor center though... Next time. Oh and hit up Pizza Corner on your way through Valley City See more..

    - Rosebud lovingly restored back to original
Spent < 1 hour Visitor Centers
Touch a piece of history as you go through Valley City. Rosebud was an original rail car used in 1881 restored to it's former glory. Various items are on display also. There is also a scenic drive described here, and maps to guide you through. Nice little corner in a VERY beautiful city! What a surprise to see, and worth the stop. See more..
