I did a half-day wade trip with Cutthroat Anglers on July 22nd and I can't recommend this trip enough! Matt Campanella took me out to catch my first Cutthroat Trout and then to one of the most beautiful places I've ever fished for some Brook Trout. Matt not only set me up in the right places to catch fish, but also took the time to teach me the how's and whys of what we were doing. I've been fly fishing for over a decade, and I can guarantee you I am a much better fisherman after spending a day with Matt C. I can't wait to book another trip with Matt C at Cutthroat Anglers! Trip was as advertised and just a ton of fun with Nick and Tanner. After a scenic drive (about 45 minutes) to the Upper Colorado River we enjoyed a scenic trip with some late season white water. We had ample opportunities to take photos, swim, and two stops to walk the shore. Nick and Tanner had lots of jokes and were knowledgeable about the history of the area, wildlife, and plants. Loved the convenience of being able to leave from Silverthorne, leaving all the driving up to locals. The company photographer took some great shots of us on the river and the photo package was reasonably priced. I highly recommend booking with this company and these guides to make your own memories! Elan life spa was just what I needed after a rough day of skiing at Copper Mountain! My massage therapist, Karen, was so professional, and helped ease my sore muscles. She even gave me some additional information to help with my posture! I paid a little extra for the cannabis infusion, which is great for the inflammation, which is exactly what I needed, but if you're hoping for other benefits, you might be a little disappointed. Buffalo Mountain Cabin trail it’s a great adventure, worth to do it if you are in Silverthorne. If you are fit it will take you 5 h to get the summit and come back. Excellent ATV tour in the wilderness by Kremmling CO. Guides really took the time to explain and coach navigating the trails. Guided tour went further faster and on rougher roads than I would have tried alone without confidence in the vehicles. Recommend a side by side with roll bar for safety and comfort. Recommend trying for the spot behind the guide so you get to see how they handle the obstacles and learn quickly. See more..

My family of seven did this hike on a late Monday afternoon in early August. There were a few parking spaces available of the 12 or so there....but we didn't use one because we were staying at a condo nearby and walked over. The hike has a long uphill gravel path to start, with the reward of a gorgeous view of Lake Dillon and the mountains at the top. Then there's a fairly easy hike through the woods, some ups and downs but nothing too difficult. Lots of rocks and roots in the path, so proper footwear is a must. We were fortunate enough to see a mother moose and calf just 15 yards off the path eating and generally ignoring the interested hikers. Very exciting! Lily Pad lake is beautiful and very unique....but don't miss the other lake just a few yards further! Gorgeous views. It was a great first-day-in-Colorado hike for our flatlander family still adapting to the altitude. See more..

The Silverthorne Rec Center provided a great alternate activity on the day we took a break from skiing. You pay a daily entry rate and have access to the gym and pool facilities, including hot tub, sauna, and steam room. There is an indoor track plus typical nautilus, treadmills, free weights, etc. The pools have a water slide, a climbing wall, lap lanes, and a toddler pool with a small slide for little kids. Bring your own lock for the lockers (or you can buy one there.) They also rent towels. There are bathing suit dryers in the lockers rooms. Really a pleasant way for a family to spend an afternoon. Let us know what services were available and helped us select what met our taste. I chose the sauna and massage. We all agreed that the experience a real value, was well worth the cost. There was a significant fire adjacent to parts of this trail in 2017. Rather than distracting from the beauty, the burned areas give another dimension to this hike. The fire was caused by careless people so it is an example of what can happen to those that build a fire and don't follow proper procedures. See more..

I happened upon this massage place while looking around in Dillon and Silverthorne. Melissa provided a massage mix of Swedish and sports to help my sore legs from several days of skiing. The mixture included some stretching and massage that really got to some of the core muscles that needed work. After trying several masseuses and styles, this one really did the trick. I can't wait to return for another. This is a business as part of a larger building that includes outdoor items, so its kind of an eclectic building. There is a sign outside that says "massage" and "yoga" but not the business name, so don't be discouraged. It is definitely worth the effort. See more..
