- 4.5 The Silver Dollar Bar & Grill (7 reviews)
-Good Ole Bar & Grill
Bars & Clubs
If you are looking for a place the locals hang out, this is it. Good ole down home food cooked the way it used to be. Great service. Been there for years and will be for many years to come. See more..
- 4.5 Deadwood Trail (2 reviews)
-Good place to walk
Spent 1-2 hours Hiking Trails
Other than city streets, this is probably the best place in town to walk, and safest. You can ride bicycles on the trail also. See more..
- 4.0 The National Pony Express Monument (27 reviews)
-Great monument dedicated to the riders of the Pony Express
Monuments & Statues
Though it only lasted eighteen months, the Pony Express remains large in Western lore and the expansion of the U.S. Taking a cue from the brevity of the exercise, the Memorial is compact, but a lot is going on. There's a beautiful main statue of a horse and rider, flags from all the states on the route, benches, and plaques of each stop. Situated in front of the flagship Cabels's store, it's a nice opportunity to contemplate for a minute, take some cool pictures, then hop back in the car and head back to the I-80. Glad I stopped. - 4.0 Fort Sidney Museum (25 reviews)
-One of the best experiences.
Monday: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Speciality Museums
We stopped here while killing time on our trip. What a pleasant surprise! The amount of artifacts is amazing. The curator was full of information and took us on a tour of the museum and the post commander's house. The time period items were very impressive. This museum is well kept and the locals are very generous with their donations. So glad we decided to stop here. See more..
- 4.0 Living Memorial Gardens (4 reviews)
-There is more to Sidney than Cabela's
Gardens
This was the second time we have stopped at this beautiful garden on our way out West. Bring your camera - you will have plently of chances to take some lovely photos. It is run by volunteers. It is located downtown in Legion Park. It was built on an old municipal swimming pool. There is also an old train in the park. It is another one of those hidden gems, that is right off the interstate. See more..
- 4.0 Cheyenne County Visitors Center (2 reviews)
-Very Helpful
Spent < 1 hour Visitor Centers
Very friendly. A lot of great information for local attractions or travelers alike. Very nice center. All information, maps, flyers are free for the taking. Right off of I-80 and close to amenities. See more..
- 3.5 Historic Downtown (17 reviews)
-Worth a look
Neighborhoods
Sidney was one of the wilder places in the old west. There's really nothing left to show its roughest history -- but worth a little detour off the I-80, perhaps after lunch at Margaritas at the easterly exit. See more..
