Had a great day out fishing with some clients. Couldn’t have asked for better weather and the fish were biting big time. Our group of 6 limited out with 30 fish and I was able to catch up with an old college friend Captain Travis Kornely and Fin N' Fly SportFishing. It was truly the best day of fishing any of us ever had and we will be hard pressed to beat this one. We will definitely be back out with more clients. We stopped here on a recent visit to Port Washington and we were very glad we did. The winery is tastefully decorated and seating is available both inside and outside. Took my (2) teenage boys out with Captain Cody in early August. Had an unbelievable time - started catching fish almost immediately. Ended the day 12 for 20 (most misses were our fault) with the largest being a king salmon 28 lbs and 38 inches. My freezer is stuffed with great tasting steelhead and king salmon fillets. Captain Cody not only helped us catch fish but was a great teacher - showing us why and how to catch Lake Michigan fish. There is no better charter service in the Milwaukee area than Nicky Boys!! They were very helpful and friendly, but most of their popcorn is great. I got a bag while we were staying Port Washington and then decided to get more to take home. My wife and I love their Carmel Popcorn. I also enjoyed their Butterscotch and White Cheddar Popcorn. My 13 year old granddaughter and I had an experience of a lifetime. Captain Scott was very accommodating in working with my granddaughter and in making sure it was calm weather His rates are really, really good. You can spend a lot more with the other charters but I doubt you would have a better experience 3 King Salmon, 2 Coco Salmon and 1 Rainbow Trout. The freezer is packed. We want to go again next year! Myself and four other friends booked a trip with Captain Alex on September 3, 2021. We were extremely pleased, and will be returning next year! We limited out with 25 fish, and he was absolutely amazing. His personality, and skill level are unmatched! We have fished on many charters, and I can say without a doubt this was the best. Alex responded fast, and was extremely helpful. As soon as I stepped on the boat, you could tell this charter was in a different class. The boat was miraculous, clean, and beautiful. My teenage boys and I fished wth Brad on the Harbor city charters. One of the most efficient guides I've ever used. Ran 14 lines, no snags, landed every fish effortlessly, and oh yea the auto pilot went out on the boat. We didn't know until On the way back in. The visit to 1860 Light Station was a very enjoyable stop during my week-day trip to Port Washington. First I drove up the hill from downtown to the light station but I did not find any designated visitor parking spots near the light station, so I drove back down and parked on the street at the bottom of the wooden stairs, and ascended the stairs. Nice views of the surroundings, Lake Michigan, and Port Washington downtown from the stairs. The light station was closed (being open Fri, Sat, & Sun), but I walked around the light station and enjoyed reading about the history of the light station. The outdoor displays are quite informative. The light station is very well maintained, and makes for a scenic and memorable view. See more..

This 3 level museum has more then expected! a lot of interactive pieces, great story boards & and artifacts. I really liked the downstairs with half the room built as a ship, and the video that is played. $5 to get in and worth every penny. I visited South Beach on a daytrip to Port Washington on a weekday in October. The weather was great for a nice walk on the beach; the winds were not kicking up the water too high. I enjoyed a leisurely walk looking at the waves on Lake Michigan, the rocks and driftwood on the beach, and the bluffs. The parking lot for the beach is small, and it should be expected that it would be full on weekend day. But, one could park in the nearby Coal Dock Park and take a short walk to South Beach. I visited the Veterans Memorial Park on a daytrip to Port Washington. It is a lovely park on the shores of Lake Michigan, and is easily accessible by means of a short walk on the Harborwalk from downtown. There is a nice memorial statue in the park, but the salient feature is the Bandshell. Though there was no activity scheduled there during the weekday afternoon of my visit, it is a popular gathering place for the city. I enjoyed my walk in the park. I visited the Bird Sanctuary while visiting the Coal Dock Park on a daytrip to Port Washington. It is a small but beautiful preserve of land right on the shores of Lake Michigan. The pedestrian-only path through the wooded area provides a nice view of Lake Michigan, South Beach, and Port Washington Marina. Though ample warning signs of shore dangers were posted, there were not any kind of bird information placards posted along the path. Nevertheless I enjoyed my walk in the sanctuary. Depending on the season I believe ample birds will be present in the sanctuary and on the lake waters. The Coal Dock Park which is right adjacent to the sanctuary can be reached after walking across a beautiful bridge. See more..
