-Paddling and camping in serene settings.
Thursday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Gear Rentals • Stand Up Paddleboarding • Kayaking & Canoeing
I took a back country kayaking trip(4 days, 3 nights) Feb 2023. The Burnhams know the local history, wildlife and are great camp cooks making the trip superb. The backcountry trip provided a serene setting to view sharks, rays, deer and enjoy the peace of nature. The rented camping equipment was great quality providing comfort at night. This trip was geared for experienced paddlers. I will definitely sign up for another Burnham expedition! See more..

- 5.0 North Street Playhouse (14 reviews)
-Outstanding theater on Virginia's Eastern Shore
Theaters
The North Street Playhouse has been producing top quality live theater for the past twenty five years. Very reasonably priced and set in an intimate one hundred seat theater, productions go well beyond what one would expect from traditional community theater. All the talent comes from local actors and musicians. Director Terry Bliss uses this talent exceptionally well and with them delivers wonderful productions. Ms. Bliss puts all of her energy into this theater and she is it's heart and soul. This summer's production of the Rocky Horror Show was funny, racy (by Eastern Shore standards), campy, and great fun. We have lived on the Eastern Shore for over eleven years and have been attending productions for almost that long. It may sound phony but I can honestly say that I haven't seen anything at North Street I haven't enjoyed. The North Street Playhouse is a wonderful evening out. Try it with a dinner at one of Onancock's many restaurants for an memorable evening out. See more..
- 5.0 Red Queen Gallery (8 reviews)
-Be sure to go upstairs!
Thursday: 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM Speciality & Gift Shops
We first visited the Red Queen gallery with friends back in August and were impressed with the wonderful local art....but didn't realize you could go through the door at the back left and be in a whole other world of art! This past weekend, we went through that door and up the stairs into Danny Doughty's gallery of his paintings....and ended up purchasing two! We were fortunate enough to meet Danny and hear his story, which makes his paintings even better. It is wonderful to have such a nice gallery for Eastern Shore artists to display and sell their art. - 4.5 Tangier Onancock Ferry (45 reviews)
-A Unique & Friendly Place
Ferries
We had a beautiful day for our trip to Tangier. About 45 minutes from Chincoteague Island. 10:00 AM boat trip , one hour ride, and back in Onancock by 4:30. The boat is spotless and Captain was very professional. Someone challenged him about the cost, which was ridiculous considering it is a round trip fair and you couldn’t even go to the movie theater for what a one way trip would cost. Come on folks…. Are we really so narrow minded to deny decent people from making a honest living instead of taking hand outs from the government for NOT working.!! Just shameless behavior on the part of that obnoxious pretentious person. We planned to rent a golf cart and do our own tour, but they were not available. We did rent bikes fromFour Brothers. Only one restaurant was open, but it’s still early in the season. See more..
