Amazing customer service! It was a Tuesday and I was in need of a middle fin before I left out of town with my paddle board on a trip. Even though the shop was closed, the owner Mindy answered her work phone and offered to open the store up and sell me the fin. This was not an expensive item; she just wanted to make sure I had what I needed for my trip. Unbelievable customer service! Will be my paddle board shop going forward!! Thank you !!! See more..

    O'Fallon Park Upper Loop image
Independence Trail departs from the Pence Park lot on Myers Gulch Road at the Upper Part of O'Fallon Park. It is a short [less than 3 miles round trip], but steep, hike to the summit of Independence Mountain. The trailhead is easily accessible from both Route 74 and route 285. The trail climbs through dense forest that provides welcome shade on hot days. There are occasional openings with valley views. In the Summer of 2015, there is maintenance underway to improve the trail. The summit is a large rock outcropping. It possesses wonderful vistas to the East, North and West. The views are some of the best in the Front Range. The trail is little utilized and a good alternative to the nearby and crowded Mt Falcon area. There are also a handful of geocaches along the trail to spice up the hike. See more..

my family and i went (ages 19 and up) and we all enjoyed it! when you show up, you wait in lanes and they are all facing the event as a whole. so while you wait (20 min for us), you get to watch the lights along with the choreographed christmas music. they give you a station to tune to when you get there. we enjoyed it for sure. it was pretty neat. kids would probably LOVE it! we hit a couple of houses on the way there that had a lot of lights and made a whole night out of it. i would recommend! Exciting fun! Seven in our group. The speed and turns will have you on edge as you try to best your friends. Standard carts start off slow before getting to top speed...stay at top speed as best you can!!! Never broke the 1:00 minute lap time but got close. Two in our group were consistently under 60 seconds. Can't wait to go back! If you go, you'll definitely have a BLAST! Tip: Discount if you pay cash. See more..

This hidden gem is home to numerous fossils from the Cretaceous and Jurassic periods. Explore dinosaur tracks, visit the exhibition hall, and dig for fossils at two play areas. The informative bus tour is highly recommended; otherwise it's an uphill walk for about half of the way. If you opt for the bus, sit on the right side for the best views. Before you leave, stop at the souvenir shop for some affordably priced trinkets. It can get rather hot in summer, so plan your trip during the cooler months for a more comfortable experience. – Tripadvisor See more..

    Tiny Town image
Just a short drive from the city, this is an incredibly inexpensive outing that results in a day full of fun, laughter, and smiles. My 7- and 8-year-old granddaughters look forward to this every summer. And truth be told, so do I! I remember going to Tiny Town as a small child, so taking my granddaughters there now brings back wonderful memories of days gone by. And it's fun to now see on some of the tiny buildings the names and logos of a few businesses that were in the Denver area when I was a child and young adult. For us native Coloradans, some of it is a walk down memory lane. Native or not, it's super fun!! See more..

    Statue to John Denver image
John Denver was my very first concert experience in 1979 when I was 10 years old. His music holds great memories for me. I got a tear in my eye when I saw this statue dedicated to him in front of the Red Rocks Ampitheatre. And I really enjoyed the little exhibit inside the Trading Post store that's dedicated to some of the musicians who have played at RR, including a video of John Denver. Two bugs flew right into my eyes!! :) See more..
