Spent 1-2 hours History Museums

Free museum packed with artifacts from residents of Moorcraft. This town sprung up as a stop along the West Texas Cattle trail from Texas to Montana. We enjoyed reading about the folks that homesteaded this area and learning about the sheep ranches and seeing antiques from the late 1800’s to early 1900. We spent over an hour here and enjoyed it. Excellent spot (ProngHorn loop #4) Right on the water. 3 stars because of the atmosphere. Generators running all hours of the night. People left their dogs chained to their RVs while they went out (on boats??) for hours. No respect for quiet hours with music on loud speakers. We camped in a pop up tent trailer and we were looking forward to leaving the noise of the streets and enjoy nature. Completely impossible when there are no less than 7 generators going all night and start at 6 am. The view from our campsite was beautiful and we had great fishing right off the shore. But I wouldn’t stay here again because of the atmosphere. See more..
