A wonderful museum of area history. The exhibits portrayed the life in the prairie over the years. Self paced tour, friendly staff. See more..

My wife and I love seeing sculptures and statues wherever we go, and the U.S. has plenty of them. But this particular sculpture is truly different. It is of a cowboy bronco busting a giant walleye fish! It's right near a park along the Missouri River. It's also easy to find. Turn south on Main Street in Mobridge, South Dakota. After passing through a small business district, it becomes Park Boulevard. In a curve is the statue. You really can't miss it. There is nothing else around it. A parking lot is nearby, and there is a stockyard to the east. See more..

The Sitting Bull Memorial is quite neat to see and visit. It is just 4 miles off of Hwy 12 and easy to get to on a blacktop road. This memorial, combined with the Sakakawea Memorial (shown in the photo) are a great chance to stop and take a little break while learning a little history and enjoying the views. See more..
