  1. 5.0 Main Street Books (22 reviews)
    - Minot’s hidden gem
Spent 1-2 hours Speciality & Gift Shops
    Main Street Books image
This little gem of a store tucked within the Minot downtown shopping district is a destination for locals and travelers alike. The minute you go through the door and walk across the creaking wooden floors gives you a throw back feeling to the small town mercantile stores. There’s a warm and fuzzy aura. This store has so much more than books. Awesome section of toys and gifts for kids, great gifts for adults of all ages. And the customer service is the best (which is hard to find anymore). You won’t be disappointed. See more..

  6. 5.0 St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church (2 reviews)
    - Magnificent Blessing in Downtown Minot!
    Churches & Cathedrals
St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church image
St. Leo's is very easily my first church choice when I am in the Minot area! This incredible Catholic Church was built in 1908, and to this day, it continues to stand majestically tall and incredibly proud in Downtown Minot. They are currently in the process of restoring this beautiful and historic church in phases. My most recent Mass here was on March 17th, St. Patrick's Day 2019! It was a beautiful Mass that I attended with my wife! The priest, Father Justin Waltz, even shared a bit of St. Leo's history at this Mass. Someone from California mailed an old post card of St. Leo's, postmarked "Aug 27 1913", to St. Leo's. Fr. Waltz said he believed that this was the oldest photo of St. Leo's that he has ever seen. Very cool indeed. May Our Dear Lord Bless, Guide, and Keep You Always! JMJ+ See more..

  11. 4.5 Oak Park (47 reviews)
    - Great nature walk
Spent 2-3 hours Parks • Playgrounds
    Oak Park image
Oak park is my favorite place to bike or run in Minot. There are two many paths - a road open to cars and bikes with a one mile loop, and a bath restricted to foot traffic that goes a total of 1.4 miles. Lots of trees, and the foot path winds through a very secluded area. Wildlife includes plentiful geese and squirrels, and I've also seen raccoons and deer. See more..

We were impressed with this museum. The displays are all very nice. My 2 and 5 year olds enjoyed the experience too. They have a table upstairs with some battery-operated Thomas trains which were fun for my boys. There are also a few hands-on whistles, bells and displays. My husband and I both found it to be an interesting place to visit. It is free and they have donation boxes if you wish to donate. See more..

  19. 4.0 Roosevelt Park Pool (13 reviews)
    - Too short of a season
    Water Parks
The pool is wonderful. It's clean and well maintained. The problem is that season is too short. Pool opens in June and closes in mid August before summer is even over with. Quite often it is closed when the weather is the hottest. They should open at 9 or 10 am instead of Noon or 1 pm. See more..

  21. 4.0 Downtown Antique Mall (1 review)
    - Not for the handicapped.
    Antique Shops
First, in keeping with the title, access to this store is down some stairs. To my knowledge, there is no elevator available. Also, if you do purchase anything, they take cash only. There is an ATM at the south end of the block in a small lobby mall. As for service, it was good. The owner was helpful and friendly. The selection is diverse enough for most collectors. We purchased figurines and carnival glass. It's small, but there is plenty to see. See more..

    Hiking Trails
This was something different! We walk every day, and here we saw some beautiful sights even though they are still cleaning up from the devestating flood, they are working so hard to get this and the zoo going! We saw two types of turtles in the river, cranes, geese and several types of ducks, herons and schools of fish, met some very nice local people who shared their stories. A very pleasurable experience, thank you North Dakota, will be back next year! See more..

  25. 3.0 Pilot Flying J (1 review)
    - rest stop in Minot at Pilot Flying J
    Visitor Centers
Minot Pilot Flying J Travel Center is conveniently located with access off Highway 2 & 52. It is a large facility and makes a great stop for fuel, supplies and food, whether heading north on the way out of Minot or else passing through. Our tour bus made a rest stop so we could pick up snacks, drinks, Cinnabon or subs. There is also a food counter for picking up a variety of other foods to take with you, plus tables if you prefer to sit down for a while. There isn’t a large restaurant like some of the other Flying Js but this location definitely has a lot to offer. The bathrooms were clean. I was surprised at all the merchandise available including souvenirs, maps, health care products, snack foods, camping supplies, groceries and much more. See more..
