A must try! We started off our day with a safety discussion regarding climbing and practices to stay Covid safe. Alex and Matt answered all of over questions and were available throughout our session if we needed help or direction. They were an incredibly hospitable and provided great service. My 11 year old adores this place. She performed very well for her first time there. The staff is unbelievably friendly. The staff also responded extremely quickly, responsibly, and kindly when she took a small fall. They took time to answer questions. We can't wait to go back. my kids age 13 and 11 did a camp with Black Dog this summer. they thoroughly enjoyed it. The instructors were so positive, and really taught them a lot in 4 days. They came home each day really looking forward to the next. Black Dog is organized, has good equipment and provides great instructors. It is a great way for those who live in and around Richmond to discover the James River, and for tourists to sampke more of the real Richmond. There are 2 sides to these trails with a tunnel connecting them. Great for families, pets individuals. Parking is available on both sides of the street (Woolridge) but during certain times, both lots have been filled. The trail measures about 1 mile on each side so it's easy to complete a couple of miles on each visit or just one mile if pressed for time. My husband is working a contract in Richmond, VA so we were looking online for candy stores. We lucked up finding this place and have been going back everytime I am in Richmond. The fudge is awesome. It is hard to find really good fudge but this place has so many great flavors it is hard to decide. There is a praline fudge that has a thick layer of caramel through the middle. Oh my gosh!! It is unreal good. The maple nut is great too. We have tried quite a few flavors and while these two are our favorites so far, they have all been exceptionally good. This store also has Jelly Bellies in probably every flavor. They have more flavors than I have found anywhere else. They have old timey candy as well as tubes of Moravian cookies. If you plan to go here during a holiday weekend be sure to call first. They have been closed a few times that we have tried to visit. It is well worth stopping by here. You can't go wrong! See more..

We took our 5 and 9-year-old grandkids to play mini golf on a lovely summer morning. It's a beautiful facility and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, our little athletes were much too impatient to enjoy the course. We let the 9 year old try the driving range since he has had a bit of experience with golf. We had three games here for a weekend girls lacrosse event. The park is large and parking is in a paved lot and a gravel lot. The gravel lot churned up lots of dust since it was a dry weekend. There were restrooms in the main portion of park with a concession stand and area for vendors. The fields were all turf and kept nice. Overall it was a nice facility. There are a few metal bleachers at each field and the fields are fenced and you can't put chairs on the turf so you have to sit outside the fence. There is no shade! See more..

We arrived early to the movie theatre in order to select our seating. While we were waiting for the movie to start, we reviewed the menu, ordered our meals and sat back to wait. The food came quickly and, while not hot, was warm and was fairly good for typical movie fare. The service was excellent, during the course of the meal we were visited several times by service attendants. One note about serving size; they were large. We ordered a small popcorn and received a bowl that was typical of the traditional bucket and too much for even two people to share unless that is all you eat. Uptown Alley checks all the blocks when it comes indoor entertainment for adults and kids of all ages. My wife, and grandchildren recently visited the Uptown Alley bowling alley for a fun afternoon (and to give our daughter a break). We ate lunch in the restaurant, played arcade games, and then bowled. Bowling with young grandchildren can be a bit challenging (and very funny) as the hand to eye coordination and upper body strength isn’t quite there yet. Nonetheless and in spite of gutter balls, slow motion rolling bowling balls, and balls getting stuck between the rails, we all had fun. Although this theater is about 12 miles from our house, it is our favorite theater. It can offer several motion pictures simultaneously at the same location. It is at the far end of a shopping mall, so parking is not an issue. It is close to a north-south major highway thereby providing easy entrance and exit. There are handicap parking spaces close to the front of the theater but there are no handicap automated doors to enter the theater. There is a very large lobby and concession area. I was in a motor vehicle accident and confined to a manual wheelchair. The ramp leading to the seating area in one theater was rather steep and I ad difficult maneuvering up the slope. However, once in the theater, the handicap seating area was very nice. It had room for wheelchairs and walkers. The area was at eye level to the screen. On the day we went, the theater was clean. We normally try to see a movies during the week to avoid crowds. We had a great experience. See more..

Free 2 hours of pool if you order something (I assume burger/similar) weekdays during the day...worked out well since my friend and I had Friday off. By 3pm though, all tables were taken. I ordered a burger with jalapenos (don't recall the name) - very good. Friend ordered steak burger - also very good. Fries and onion rings were good and decent portions but not huge. Really enjoyed visiting the Art Factory. It's a great spot for private parties or you can sign up for their open Paint Nights. Either way you will be glad you tried them. I recently attended a fundraiser paint event. It was very well done and such a great time. There was a nice group of gals there to paint and the instructor made the process really easy. I was impressed that I was able to produce a painting that I am proud to hang in my home. I plan to get a few friends together and do another paint event soon. I have never hosted an event here but I know several folks who have. It's always a bonus when you are able to schedule a kid's party away from the house when it's going to involve crafts. The Art Factory has several different packages and they provide hostesses to set-up, clean up and help with all the fun. They will even coordinate with Sergio's next door to have your pizzas there for you. All you really need to do is order a cake and send out invitations.
