    Jack Daniel's Distillery image
This is an outstanding distillery tour and yes you can sample the Tennessee Whiskey if you sign up for the proper tour. I do recommend signing up in advance as the tours can sell out. There is a gift shop that has some really great Jack Daniels items and not a bunch of cheap, Chinese stuff. I reviewed Jack Daniel's 4 and 1/2 years ago but it was stuck in TA's draft file. It's probably still valid. See more..
  2. 5.0 Lynchburg Cake and Candy Company (278 reviews)
    - Places you HAVE to visit in Lynchburg, TN
    Factory Tours
Lynchburg Cake and Candy Company image
Mr. Thomas who owns this business gives you a personal tour of his company. The tour is short in walking distance, as we were a bit surprised when we drove up to the small Cake and Candy Company. We enjoyed every minute of our tour. His cakes and candies are delicious, and we stocked up on them for friends and family. Mr. Thomas is a treasure trove of information about not only his sweet treats but also about TN. This was one of our favorite tours in all of Lynchburg. Although the taste testing wasn’t liquid, every minute of our visit was worth the trip. Don’t miss out on this tour! It’s free! See more..

We spent the day with Kevin learning a bit about Tennessee and whiskey. We were a party of 8, visiting Nashville for the first time. We enjoyed Kevin’s sense of humour and his willingness to engage in our shenanigans! We experienced the town square of Lynchburg and had some fantastic bar-b-q at the Barrel House. We toured and tasted at Jack Daniel’s and had a great time. Thanks Kevin! See more..

Lots of fun, walking around Lynchburg, learning about the history of Lynchburg and the unusual happenings in town. Ronnie was great relating how normal citizen report items knocked over or people seen where they aren’t. We were there on a beautiful fall day and were able to walk and see lots of the town. - Artful Surprise in Lynchburg, Tennessee
    Art Galleries
The Local Palette Gallery is a pleasant surprise in Lynchburg, Tennessee! In a place traditionally focused on Jack Daniels we found a beautiful little art gallery featuring several Tennessee based artists. We particularly enjoyed the photographs by Michael Bradley and the jewelry by artists Cheryl Vandyck and Janet McCoig. Chef Michael Bradley also happens to be the chef at the world famous Miss Mary Bobo's Boardinghouse, also located in Lynchburg. Local Palette is proof positive that Tennessee has a wealth of exciting offerings each time we visit. I believe you can visit the gallery website at www.localpalettegallery.com See more..

  11. 5.0 Moore County Confederate Memorial (1 review)
    - A simple, white memorial
    Sunday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent < 1 hour Monuments & Statues
    Moore County Confederate Memorial image
Erected in 1927, this simple, white memorial is a tribute to those Confederate soldiers who died during the American Civil War. If you are in Lynchburg, it is worth having a look at. It is easy to find as it is situated on a corner outside the Moore County Courthouse. At the same time you could also have a look at the Moore County Veterans War Memorial (on the opposite corner) and a beautiful eagle chainsaw carving (on the opposite side of the Courthouse to where you are now standing). 12. 5.0 Moore County Courthouse (1 review)
    - The workmanship is unbelievable

    Moore County Courthouse image
I really find it hard to believe that this carving was done with a chainsaw!! I use a chainsaw but all I can do is cut logs. This carving is brilliant. The workmanship is unbelievable. Well worth seeking out if you are in Lynchburg and why not combine this with also a look at the Moore County Veterans War Memorial and the Moore County Confederate Soldiers Memorial, both of which are on the other side of the courthouse. 13. 5.0 Moore County Veterans War Memorial (1 review)
    - S simple, yet beautiful, memorial
    Spent < 1 hour Monuments & Statues
Moore County Veterans War Memorial image
The Moore Count Veterans War Memorial, situated adjacent to the historic Moore Count Courthouse in Lynchburg, Tennessee, is a simple, yet beautiful, well-maintained memorial. Dedicated on 25 May 1882, the broken column represents the persons who have died and that all earthly ties with them are broken. The words "We cannot forget, we must not forget, we dare not forget" were inspired by a Lynchburg resident while "the last full measure of devotion" was said by President Abraham Lincoln on 19 November 1863, when he gave the Gettysburg Address.
