Captain Jeremy was amazing. Had two adults, a 14 year old and 10 year old with us and he connected to all of us. Showed us how he caught bait, we fished, we toured, my daughter and I got to swim with Manatees and play along with dolphins all due to his knowledge and expertise. Got to spot a huge sea turtle. My family and I spent an enjoyable afternoon fishing the Indian River Lagoon and St. Lucie River system with Capt. George and we caught fish. What a thrill it was for my 10-year-old little grand-niece to hook-up on her first fish, a memory of a lifetime for all of us. After being told by four area bike rental places that they were booked, I found Ironhorse scooters. The gentleman who owns and runs the place was very friendly and accommodating. He helped me choose just the right bike for me, and he delivered/picked it up from the condo we were renting. The one week rental was very reasonable (helmet and lock included if you want them). This company was a joy to deal with, and I'll be renting from them every time we visit. See more..

A charming treasure trove. A wonderful varied selection of Art Classes, taught by local talented Artists. Also a class called " Refunk your Junk" where you can learn how to chalk paint and embellish your small pieces of furniture. The owner, Christine teaches some of the classes. Two of my absolute favorites were a large Wooden Sea Horse embellished with shells and colored Stones, and a MIxed Medium Flamingo. The classes are small, well instructed and there are afternoon classes, as well as evening classes. A bonus is her Coastal Treasure Shop, which is filled with beautiful Coastal refinished furniture, as well as lovely art work done by local Artists. I am so pleased to recommend this business to Trip Advisor. The classes are excellent for the beginner, as well as, seasoned artists who want to try something different. See more..

Great place to go towards sunset. We took our daily walk through the park and up onto the bride where's there are benches to watch the sun go down. Most people go to fish. There are picnic tables and grills. Just go and you'll see. Martin County did a great job setting up the park and their maintenance is just great. See more..

I have taken twin 9 year olds and a 10 year old twice this Summer and they really enjoyed it. You can spend quite a few hours in here. There is a lot of different areas and I let them play for however long they wanted in the section. Publix is hands down the favorite. Also enjoyed the new fire station that is now open. My husband, border collie, and I recently spent a morning romping in the waves and strolling the beach. We met friendly surfers, fishermen, and lots of dogs and their owners. We live in the area and Waveland is our preferred beach. There is ample parking, clean restrooms, and a boardwalk over the dunes to the beach. The outside showers on the boardwalk work well and are out of the way of people that may be passing on the walkway. There is a lifeguard shack adjacent to the end of the walkway. The slope into the water is fairly gentle compared to other local beaches which makes it a great place to bring kids. Beach is very clean, life guards on duty, and rest rooms to change--which are clean. The water was very nice and the 1st time we went their were small fishes swimming near us. The 2nd time, hurricane Erika was on its way, the waves were unbelievable--other beach goers were surfing that's how crazy the waves were. Otherwise, this was a very nice beach to visit. This place is so cute and artistic. We stopped by after a heavy breakfast at Jan's Place. First stop was an artist studio; Betty Neubauer. Her paintings are very good. We ended up purchasing a piece of her art. We also stopped by Backstreet Gallery Fused Glass Art to get a gorgeous bracelet. We also browsed at another art studio. Very lovely indeed. See more..

Not really my kind of beach, in that it was super-crowded. But we enjoyed our time there very much, & enjoyed that there was a snack bar with adult beverages on site. We likely won't be back, but that's just because there are so many other beaches that are more my style. Nothing at all was wrong with this area, as is evidenced by the number of people appreciating it - it's just not my style. Restrooms available in two beachside locations are a definite plus. This Regal location has made some amazing upgrades, From the comfy seats, they recline, plenty of cup holders. Very clean every time I have been there. We loving coming here. In the summer they do a special on Tuesdays and Wednesdays its $2.00 day. It isn't the newest films but still great choices to watch. We went 2-3 times this summer. They had Lego, Lego Batman, Tom and Jerry, Sing, Sing 2, The Abominable, Paddington and so many more. Just before the Summer they release the schedule online. I would recommend booking your tickets online beforehand as sometimes that do sell out. See more..
