Tower Trail is the trail you’ll want to do to get as close as possible to Devils Tower. it is a loop around Devils Tower. this loop is the most popular thing to do in the park. This trail is pretty easy and gives you some great views of the tower. If you want to truly be quick and not hike the whole 1.3-mile paved trail, then you will want to start off the loop going LEFT when you are starting from the visitor center. (There is a spot once you start the trail where there are seemingly 2 ways to go, straight and to the left.) Then soon you will see the massive Devil's Tower in front of you. but I would recommend doing the whole tower trail (just 1.3 miles) it will give you different angles of Devils Tower. it is the only trail that is paved. However, do remember that climbing on the rocks isn’t allowed without a permit so stay off of the boulders. See more..

If you want to find the perfect place to take a picture of Devil's Tower, especially in the afternoon, this is it. This is a hidden gem, most people won't find. On your drive up to the tower, you will see a dirt road go off to your left near the parking lot. This is W Road and if you take it about a quarter of a mile there will be an empty gravel parking lot. Pulling and look behind you to see the most amazing view of the tower. There are many great places to get a picture of the tower but this is the best. See more..

The only way I knew about this art piece was from Trip Advisor. It is easily missed because there are no signs and you cannot see it from the road. When you enter the park, make a left to head toward the camping area. Go past the trailer parking and the walkway is immediately on the left. It makes a cool picture seeing Devil’s Tower through the circle. We were the only ones there at 3:00pm that day. See more..
  6. 3.5 Devils Tower Trading Post (179 reviews)
    - Good Place to Stop After Visiting Devil's Tower
Friday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Speciality & Gift Shops
    Devils Tower Trading Post image
After a disappointing visit to the inside the park gift shop at Devil's Tower (limited inventory with high prices), we decided to visit Devil's Tower Trading Post. It had a wide variety of items (including more alien themed items) and more reasonable prices. There was an ice-cream shop inside the post as well. There is a fairly large parking lot to accommodate most vehicles even if pulling something. The staff was very friendly. The Post offers some additional scenic views of Devil's Tower and photo opportunities. See more..

Above Ouray Ice & Tower Rock Guides image
We have all rock climbed in the gym before, but never vertically climbed a real live rock, so we enlisted the help of Andy at Tower Guides. Andy was so great to work with – his calm demeanor and proper safety equipment had me at ease as we began our hike up Devils Tower Monument. One by one we tucked our fingers into the crevices and balanced our toes on the ledges and made our way toward the top. The adrenaline high was insane! See more..
