    Moving Meadows Farm image
We were desperate to find any restaurants with gluten free options. Found one only to arrive to find it closed on a Saturday for lunch!! Right next door was this quaint Mom/Pop shop! We are all here from out of town and so our group of 16 came thru like a hungry hurricane! Wally, the owner, was so kind, patient and generous. My daughter has Celiac so needs gluten free options. Mr. Wally offered her an off menu item called Keto Victoria- fluffy eggs, sautéed onions, sausage, spinach with mustard. Delicious and filling! Since it was chilly, she asked about the hot chocolate. Mr. Wally brought out the large bag of organic hot chocolate mix so we could look at the ingredients! The rest of group got various items and it was the perfect, light lunch we needed! Highly recommend! See more..

    La Bee da Loca image
Owner Felecia Chavez spent some 30 years working with the American Red Cross. It was definitely time for her to have some serenity in her life and realizing her dream of opening La Bee da Loca is proof that there are no ends, just a series of new beginnings. I couldn't wait to visit her shop. From her choice of lacy window dressings to her decision to have a live hive for observation, this little shop on Davis Street is a sensory delight when you first walk in. Honeycombed designed shelves hold jars of succulent honey but her line of soaps, candles, bee-related products and aromatic mists add a beautiful ambiance to discovering more about the world of bees. 11. 5.0 Lake Pelham Adventure Park (2 reviews)
    - Really nice day
    Gear Rentals
The weather was perfect for kayaking. We rented 3 kayaks and headed out on the lake. The kayak/boat launch was great and easy to use. We were able to kayak through a tunnel under the highway to a smaller portion of the lake. Then we went across the main lake region. It is a very nice lake. There were several birds around, cranes and even eagles. We saw deer on the shoreline. It is just a beautiful area. The cost was minimal at $5 per hour. There are personal lockers that you can store you keys, wallet, etc in for free. It was a bit self service in that we pulled our own kayaks off the rack and took them down to the lake. We kayaked for about an hour and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. There are also canoes and paddleboats for rent. And you can launch your own boat. See more..
  12. 5.0 Mitchells Presbyterian Church (2 reviews)
    - An enjoyable worship experience
    Thursday: 10:00 AM - 3:30 PM Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks • Educational sites • Churches & Cathedrals
    Mitchells Presbyterian Church image
Built in 1879 under the leadership of the Reverend John P. Strider, this simple Carpenter's Gothic church contains the most elaborate example of late 19th century, folk-style trompe l'oeil frescoes in the Commonwealth. The Italian immigrant painter Joseph Dominick Phillip Oddenino, born in 1831 in Chieri, Turin, Italy, executed the frescoes between 1892 and 1899. Oddenino painted the ceiling to resemble beams framing rosettes. The artwork is a shining example of the ancient art of fresco and is a curious transplant in the rural Virginia countryside. The church, along with the frescoes, underwent complete restoration beginning in 1979 See more..

  14. 5.0 Packard Campus Theater (2 reviews)
    - Step Back in Time ... For Free
    Theaters
Tucked away on a dark, dark road a few minutes off U.S. 29 is a hidden gem. The experts who restore vintage films will let you see them, for free, in a pristine theater on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Think classic movie channel comes to life. Bogart on the big screen, so you can fully appreciate the charisma your grandmother swooned over but you just can't see. Last night we attended a double feature of 1939 films starring Cary Grant, Carole Lombard, Ginger Rogers and David Niven. One of the archivists introduces each film, so we get a bit of the history that we didn't know walking in. Just lovely. Caveat: This is more like a museum experience than a regular night at the movies. They don't sell popcorn and you can't bring in any food. That's also why your feet don't stick to the floor. Got a problem with that? Hey, remember, it's free. See more..

Went here on Sunday, the vineyards has very spacious area to enjoy a class of wine or bottle if you are with friends. I order the blanc of wine which was tasty, not so sweet, a little crisp. The outside has also has plenty of space table available to enjoy a beautiful summer or fall weather. The vineyards has pub which is great for beer drinkers and a distillery on location. The restaurant has restaurant on location, which can order a good meal. I order a burger with green salad, great taste plenty for one person. I also order fries which was hot and good taste. The vineyards has plenty of parking and of course you can bottle to go. My meal was average$25.00, will definitely come back of the area. See more..

  19. 4.5 Far Gohn Brewing Company (39 reviews)
    - Great Find in Culpeper
    Spent 1-2 hours Breweries
    Far Gohn Brewing Company image
My coworkers and I were in town for an event and stumbled upon Far Gohn. What a great find! Even though they were busy, the staff was friendly and very helpful. The whole place had a casual welcoming feel, and even though there was live music, we could carry on a conversation. We sampled quite a few different brews, and didn't find a stinker in the bunch. Then there was the pizza. Even if you don't like beer, the pizza is reason enough to check out Far Gohn. The crust is thin and perfectly executed. The sauce and toppings are bright and fresh. I mean, these pizzas are so good, they'll bring a tear to your eye. It's only been 24 hours, and I'm trying to figure out how to make it back to Culpeper. See more..
