   A great day trip. Very pleasant ride from Crisfield to Smith Island. Boat leaves very promptly at 12:30 from Crisfield, and returns very promptly at 4PM. Dock is right in front of Bayside Inn restaurant and staff is waiting for visitors to disembark and seats you immediately. Service was very friendly and efficient. Food was good. Try the hush puppies as an appetizer, and soft shell crabs were nicely prepared. Tried 2 varieties of Smith Island cake and both were delicious. Wasn’t a whole lot of time for exploring after lunch but we walked a few blocks and spoke to a few residents who were quite friendly and happy to answer questions about their life on the island.
