Plenty of liquid sunshine did not dampen our day! I was really worried about the weather, but we were so wet from the rapids, the rain was unnoticeable!! Fast Fred was a great guide and we all had a wonderful time!!! My only complaint was the cost of the photos. I really wanted 1 or 2 pictures, but it was $55 for all pics. We had David, Nancy and Kyla and had a blast. Even with one of our kids freaking out they were able to help them get past that fear and fight through the first half of the trip. I went to see Melissa at Pic N Vine and she sat down to help me make a basket. I Had the best time! Not only did she help me complete the basket which looked like something a professional had done, she sold me some salve for my husband‘s neuropathy. She really knows her stuff and she clearly loves her customers. If you don’t want to do a basket she also does old Time photos. The Georgia Tennessee line also goes through her shop so that’s another good picture. For real, go see Melissa. See more..

This was our second trip here. I planned a birthday trip for my sister in June. Jeffro was our guide for whitewater rafting. He was very knowledgeable of the river and a great instructor. We had some ladies that were rafting for the first time and a bit nervous; he put their fears at ease. Our cabin was beautiful and had a great deck to hangout on at night. However, the loft was only accessible by a vertical ladder, so some of the ladies had to sleep in the living room on the floor. The kitchen was missing a few utensils, but the friendly staff brought it to our cabin upon our request. We rode horses and did the high ropes course; both were excellent experiences. The resort is very secluded (which we enjoyed), but if you want to travel about 20 minutes to Blue Ridge, GA you’ll find nice restaurants and shops. We ended up going to the Blue Coyote bar after dinner and the live band was a blast! See more..

We happened upon this gallery as we strolled through Copperhill during our train layover. This gallery is unique among the shops in the area because it showcases original work of professionals artists, rather than mass-produced imported nick-knacks. The owner is very friendly and helpful. We loved this store! We loved talking to the owners! Their story was great to hear. We bought a beautiful ornament and our daughter bought a handmade ornament!
