Ocoee Whitewater Center, Tennessee, United States

4.5 (61 reviews) Spent Ranking #3 in Copperhill River Rafting & Tubing

Worth a visit!

We came by on a weekday while the water was down and enjoyed hiking in the forest and swimming in the blue hole. It’s a nice place to bring lunch to eat on the picnic tables overlooking the river. There are bathrooms in the center where you can change clothes.

I got to visit the Whitewater Center on a recent trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Even though you couldn’t go whitewater rafting due to the time of year, you can still stop by to see the Ocoee River and do some hiking. I just walked along the sidewalk next to the Ocoee River. There was several flag posts with the names of different countries on them. Apparently, this was the site of the rafting competition in the 1996 Olympics. I’d love to return here and go whitewater rafting.
