   I was really blown away by this small museum. It was totally worth the stop. The introductory video, professional displays, and audio tour, were professionally done and informative. The museum and small gift shop were spotlessly clean inside and out. I was really impressed and that says a lot because I visit as many of these small museums as I can find. See more..

   We spent the weekend at Chadron State Park in one of their duplex cabins. I was disappointed to find satellite TV and internet, but my boys were happy. If you are a clean freak, this may not be for you. We had a mouse or rat get into our van and clean up after the kids. Lots of great trails for us to take the dogs with us on. The Trading Post was were my husband and oldest son spent most evenings. They were able to do archery and tomahawk throwing for $1.50 for 30 minutes. They even had figurines for the kids to paint. The frisbee golf course was the best one I've ever played! The trail to Lookout point is a must do! We timed it so we were up there at sunset. You can see all the way to the Black Hills of South Dakota. Amazing. See more..

   My sister and I went in to see the paintings for which our sister was the model. We were the only ones in there. The curator came to say HI. She found out who we were, and we were stuck for an hour! EXCELLENT private tour / education / conversation...about everything Mari Sandoz and everything else in the world. She's from California, and we're from California, so she had lots of connections with us, particularly where I live on the Central Coast. It was spectacular. See more..

   This museum has a very rich and informative collection of articles from Northwest Nebraskas early pioneers to vintage military itemsthey have a huge antique toy section to a world class pen exhibit.It is set up so any visiter will find it interesting ,it is well worth the stop. See more..

   There aren't many golf courses in the northwestern corner of Nebraska, but we found one in Chadron. Ridgeview Country Club offers nine testing holes, along with a driving range, a putting green, a pro shop with some apparel and a snack bar that includes food and alcohol on its menu. Ridgeview's greens are quick but putt true. The fairways are lush and well-defined. Trees line many fairways; several of the greens are guarded by bunkers. If you're in the neighborhood and looking to get in nine or 18 holes, Ridgeview should be a place to stop! See more..
