  3. 5.0 The Book A Near (2 reviews)
    - Outstanding Used Book Store!
Monday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Speciality & Gift Shops
I've been purchasing (and trading) books at this little store for several years, and it's one of the best stocked, best organized, and most friendly places I've been. If they don't have what you're looking for at the time, they'll even put it on a watch list for you and call if/when it comes in. They have suggested several authors for me, and I've liked them all. I'm an avid reader, and I take BAGS of books in to trade several times a year. If, occasionally, they already have too many of one, they (of course) can't take mine...so I save it for the next time or just donate it. Easy! Check them out! See more..

  5. 5.0 Canvas and Cocktails (1 review)
    - Great Place to Let Your Creativity Bloom!
    Paint & Pottery Studios
    Canvas and Cocktails image
When my daughter first told me about this, I was surprised that such a place existed. My Father was a painter, and was amazing! As a published author, I am always looking for anything “out of the ordinary”, because these are usually the best things! The idea of a place where you can paint and have refreshments was one of these! It excited my imagination. When my husband and I came to see our daughter in the week of my birthday, she surprised me by taking us and her boyfriend to a class. I was so excited to see this, I almost couldn’t contain myself. While it was several years ago in the old location, I have never forgotten it! The painting is on my living room wall. A few weeks ago, Laura told me about the online classes, and I’ve been doing them ever since! I live in Arkansas, so this has given me a whole new exciting creativity! Thanks to all the amazing Canvas & Cocktails instructors! I’m having a great time! See more..
  6. 5.0 Parker Jordan Centennial Open Space (1 review)
    - Great location to start hiking or biking
    Parks • Hiking Trails
Two parking areas are at this trailhead. From the trailhead, you can focus on the Cherry Creek trail or enter the Open Space and explore the various loops of trails. There is a connection to Castlewood Canyon from within the open space as well. Most of the trails in the open space are shaded and I saw several hawks in the trees. Dogs can be in the open space on leash. There is a 3.5 mile loop dirt trail that is fairly well marked. There are other cement trails that connect to larger trail systems. It's a nice wooded trail system along a creek in a residential area. See more..

    - Awesome
Spent More than 3 hours Biking Trails • Hiking Trails
    Willow Creek Trail image
Denver is a paradise for bikers. That's the reason I've brought my bike from Chicago. I was driving to my daughter, so transporting the bike in my car wasn't a problem. I just wanted to test my bike on Colorado's ground. The result was great. There are so many trails going through the parks, streets and other suburban areas. One day our whole family went for riding. We’ve started in Centennial, CO riding for few hours, making the loop. Big part of the trail was Colorado Centennial Link Trail. It was so colorful, well organized and clean. We were changing trails still moving forward. I strongly recommend this type of activity in area of Centennial, CO. RomanP See more..

    Kayaking & Canoeing
    Centennial Canoe Outfitters image
We had an amazing time on our 3-day Colorado River trip with good friends (a group of 4 families with teens). It was very hot, which worried me, but Brooke at Centennial offered many helpful "cooling" tips beforehand. Our teens loved the trip and reasoned the heat was a bonus as it allowed for more enjoyable swimming and water fights. The scenery was amazing, at our 2nd campsite we hiked about a half-mile upstream and then floated back in our life vests past beautiful black rock structures, with soaring red cliffs in the background. Our guides, Julie, Tyler, and Nadine were knowledgeable and fun, they took great care of us and prepared delicious meals. If you are looking for an adventurous bonding experience with teens, I highly recommend this trip. See more..

Found this gem while looking for splash pads and it was AMAZING. With free entry and dedicated parking lot, this could be a weekly routine. It is crowded on weekends but well worth it. My boys, 11 & 8, love how spacious the park is. Plus a great Pokemon hunting spot. See more..

  15. 4.5 Spavia (12 reviews)
    - Great spa - saying that as a man where spas usually treat us as an afterthought
    Monday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Spas
I've gone to a few spas but this is my favorite. As a man, we aren't complete afterthoughts there for space or lockers, which is nice. Their membership program is priced pretty well with nice perks including discounts on extra massages and being able to share benefits with a spouse. I had a facial scheduled for today but marked it for the following weekend on my calendar. I got a very polite call when my time was up and I kicked myself as I offered to pay for the massage and tip anyway since it was completely my fault. They said they could easily accommodate me if I could arrive in 20 minutes and were super polite when I arrived. The services always go the full length and you can book easily with their app. Very happy with this place! See more..

  17. 4.5 Halfpenny Brewing Co (5 reviews)
    - My new favorite brewery and here's why...
Monday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Breweries
    Halfpenny Brewing Co image
Many of the craft brewers have gotten too crafty of late, leaving few to no options for people who appreciate the traditional roots of a good lager, ale, bock or otherwise. But Halfpenny gets it right. They have some more crafty flavors, but also offer a wonderful selection of traditional-style beers that have a crafty edge but still pay homage to their English and German roots. This is definitely my new favorite brewery, and if you haven't been, you should definitely check it out. They have one of the better red ales that I've had in a long time! And lastly, the service and friendliness of the staff rocks. They make you feel like you've been coming there for years, even when it's your first time. Can't wait to go back! See more..

  19. 4.5 Regal Theater (3 reviews)
    - Excellent Remodel!
    Movie Theaters
An excellent remodel of a once-popular multi-screen theater. Staff is very accommodating, the bar is extensive, food menu is really good, the seats are reclining stadium-style, and the audio and video quality are both great. I would recommend theater management get area advertising out so that Centennial, Greenwood Village, etc. are aware the theater has reopened. We wouldn't have known had we not passed by there recently when visiting a restaurant adjacent to their parking lot. We enthusiastically recommend this theater for all its amentities, and we hope it stays for the longhaul. Go visit! See more..

  26. 4.0 17 Mile House Farm Park (1 review)
    - Nice paths throughout park.
Spent < 1 hour Historic Sites • Points of Interest & Landmarks • Architectural Buildings
They allow "euro outfit" amateurs to ride too fast for safety. Many pass in silence at high speed with no warning. Post some speed limit signs. Hard to enjoy walk with danger all around. See more..
  27. 4.0 Cherry Creek Valley Ecological Park (1 review)
    - Unique little park
    Parks • Hiking Trails
This is a picturesque little park tucked near a residential complex. While it looks small, it has a nested series of loop trails. One of the highlights is the trail that takes you to the creek. The parking area is small and unpaved. It does connect to the Cherry Creek trail but there isn't signage to help you navigate that. If there is any complaint, it would be that the maze of trails could get someone lost. Pets are allowed on leash. See more..
