- 5.0 The Goddard Center (1 review)
-Arts and Entertainment
Sunday: Ballets • Art Galleries • Operas
I was here for a concert by the Quebe Sisters, progressive Western Swing Band, who gave a great performance of old standard from Bob Wills to the Mills Brothers. the 3 sisters all play fiddle (violin) and sing in 3 part harmony like the Andrews sisters and the Mills brothers. They can get down on a Bob Wills tune, and then sing in 3 part harmony on an old standard from the 40s 50s, era. The Center also has a gallery displaying fine art from regional and local artists, most recently See more..

- 4.5 Tucker Tower Nature Center (116 reviews)
-Don't Miss the Tucker Tower
Nature & Wildlife Areas
This is a great place to visit. First you visit the Lake Murray Nature Center, and the Tucker Tower is behind it. Make sure and put in the Tucker Tower into your GPS or you will end up in the middle of the state park among the trees. The Lake Murray Nature Center has some neat little displays about the history of the area and conservation. It also has a pretty observation deck that is great for pictures. It is also free. The Tucker Tower is a gem if anything for the views. It is a hard climb though. It is definitely not for those who are not up for difficult terrain and steep climbs. It has several floors of displays about the building of the tower, but the real treat is the view from the top. It is five floors up with the last floor being a winding staircase. You can see a breathtaking view of Lake Murray. See more..

- 4.0 Lake Murray State Park (73 reviews)
-Very pretty park.
State Parks • Bodies of Water • Nature & Wildlife Areas
We visited the park over two days for some fishing and sightseeing. This is a very scenic park and all of the facilities looked to be very nice. We are not into camping anymore so we stayed in Ardmore which is only about a 15 minute drive from the park. The park does not charge an entrance fee but does charge for parking. If you rent a camp space, your parking is included. You can use an online app to prepay your parking in advance and there is no check-in at the park. Very convenient. We did some fishing feom the two fishing piers in the park. I use a mobility scooter and both are easily accessible. Lots of bites and drowned worms but no luck. The park was very peaceful and there were lots of hikers and bikers using the trails. We, along with our fur babies, enjoyed the sunshine and beautiful weather. We will definitely be back. See more..
