  2. 5.0 Corbin Local Wildlife (175 reviews)
    - Well Worth It
Friday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Nature & Wildlife Areas
    Corbin Local Wildlife image
Surrounded by gentle hills and valleys overlooking the sea at Hope Bay, and situated in 20 acres of beautiful forest, Corbin Local Wildlife is a hidden gem. Plentiful fruit trees and flowers attract all kinds of native wildlife - plantain, sugarcane, mango trees and wild heliconia are abundant, to name but a few. Wild caiman sunbathe on the banks of the park's lily ponds, sally painters dash along the many trails and agoutis hop through the bushes. The park is a treasure-trove for birdwatchers - attracting hummingbirds, manakins, herons, mot-mots and jacamars. In addition to the wild animals, the park houses many rescued and threatened species. It provides a protected area, with diverse habitats, essential for the preservation of Tobago's native creatures. This safe environment, away from hunters, allows animals to breed and babies to be released into the forest when they are ready - protecting the natural wildlife which is under threat on the island. Come and explore the forest trails and learn about Tobago's wildlife. Call Roy Corbin to arrange a visit 00 1 (868) 327-4182. APPOINTMENTS ARE ESSENTIAL. If you don't ring to let us know you are coming there might be no-one there to show you around. See more..

This was a mind blowing experience for me and my 19 year old daughter. Being able to interact with the hummingbirds was the highlight of our trip. It was a culinary delight as well to taste Ms. Shurland's sweet hand cooking, with her dasheen, soursop & guava ice creams for desert, not to mention her healthy juice made of rough skin lemon, ginger and turmeric. Call in advance if you want to reserve meals and go earlier in the day if you wish to take a trek into the rainforest. Thank you Ms. Shurland for your excellent customer service, warm and genuine personality. I will certainly recommend this humble, quaint location to anyone. See more..

    - Lovely waterfall!
    Waterfalls
    Argyle Waterfall image
A taxi driver, Mr. Mervyn McKnight took us to the falls. If you need a good taxi driver when you visit Tobago I would strongly recommend him. The gentleman was quite friendly, knowledgeable about Tobago’s history and very helpful. This was our third visit to the falls. We paid 50TT dollars entrance fee per person and this included a tour guide. Ask for Lennon Moore when you visit, he is an excellent and experienced tour guide. Rain had fallen that morning so the trail was a bit muddy, he assisted my friend on the trail and even helped her to clean mud off her shoes when we came back. They are also in the process of building a water park on the compound. The Fall is very beautiful and serene and it is worth a visit! See more..

Nicest experience we had in Tobago!! Had local authentic cusine at this charming restaurant on the beach in Castara Bay. Thd husband and wife who own the restaurant made our vacation so special. Duck buys and uses only local and organanically grown vegetables including fresh fish that is brought in daily there at the fish market. His wife has a coffee bar serving smoothies, cappucinos, and other frozen drinks which is a refreshing treat as we soaked up the tropical island beach. Treat yourself to lunch or dinner - listen to the island sounds, sit and watch the sun go down from their patio and enjoy. See more..

  18. 4.5 Mount Irvine Beach (107 reviews)
    - Beautiful small beach with amenities
    Beaches
    Mount Irvine Beach image
My family and I stayed at the Mt Irvine Resort. We loved the proximity of the beach to the resort and the amenities provided to guests - change room, bathroom, restaurant and bar and loungers and umbrellas. We had crab and dumplings and shark and bake at the hotel restaurant which were very good. Other food options further down the beach. Beach is not private ( none are in Tobago) but this was never a problem. Very good snorkelling right off the beach. Saw schools of fish and lots of coral. Local vendors on beach for souvenirs, but not pushy. Also other vendors came by with local sweets and goodies! My wife and I bought some art from local artist Dillon Richards right on the beach. If you are visiting Tobago, try to find time to visit this very unassuming residential garden owned by Mr George. His hillside garden is full of nectar feeders attracting all the species of hummingbirds in huge numbers, plus other birds besides. Mr George is really knowledgable and also runs rainforest walks. There is an honesty box for a small donation towards bird food. Completely charming! See more..

    Arnos Vale Reef image
I can see why this was a quite popular resort in its day, because the beach is beautiful, and we watched a fisherman on the rocks, fishing without a pole. I was mesmorized. From the other reviews, I wish we had gone snorkeling here, but we were not prepared. We wandered around the property for a short time, saddened by the demise. See more..
