  1. 5.0 Aklala Batik du Togo (8 reviews)
    - a fun craft class with beautiful, useful results.
Monday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Speciality & Gift Shops
    Aklala Batik du Togo image
This was a fun way to spend half a day. The women will teach you how to apply wax to cotton fabric to make beautiful cloth. They are patient and good humored. The center trains women to dye cloth and to sew; they leave their training with a sewing machine and dying equipment, ready to set up their own businesses. I went with my family, including teenagers and adults. We each picked how we wanted to do our own fabric and we’re all happy with the results. There is a shop a couple blocks down the road that sells batiqued cloth and ready make shirts and children’s clothes for around $10 each item. See more..
  2. 5.0 Cascade de Yikpa (8 reviews)
    - An amazing adventure
Spent More than 3 hours Waterfalls
    Cascade de Yikpa image
This has been one of my best adventures in Africa so far. Travelling to a remote area near the border with Ghana, difficult hiking and enjoying this amazing waterfall. I took a motorcycle taxi , His name is Oscar and he took care of me for the next two days as his younger brother, so please call him to 99826921 once you arrive to Kpalime. Please start this hike as early as possible, it is a difficult one and it is very hotel and humid , take from Kpalime (!) a lot of water! You pay 2000CFA for entrance and the hike takes about 2 h to get there, but the view of the gorge and the waterfall leaves you speechless. By moto it is about 1.5h to Yikpa (pronounced Yipa), aa place that even in Google map does not exist, but for sure in my memories. See more..

  7. 4.0 Cascade de Kpime (36 reviews)
    - Be aware!!
    Waterfalls
    Cascade de Kpime image
The Cascade de Kpime was a wonderful, intense hike (if you start at the bottom instead of driving halfway up). The falls were beautiful! We took our dogs and we got some great exercise. When we went back last week though, we spoke with a local guide who told us that if we do go back we should not swim in the water-- IT IS THE MAIN WATER SOURCE FOR KPALIME! I wish there were signs or something-- there were a bunch of people swimming around when we went! If you go please, just look at the waterfall! See more..
  8. 4.0 Mount Agou (33 reviews)
    - Great hike to summit Togo's tallest peak
    Mountains
    Mount Agou image
Mt. Agou is quite small (under 1000m in elevation) but is Togo's tallest mountain by a few meters. The mountain is quite accessible off the main highway from Lomé to Kpalimé, about 15 minutes before hitting the town of Kpalimé on the right side. You have to pay at the entrance to get permission to summit either by car or by foot and at the top there will be guards who will give you a small tour and show you the remnants of the French and German armies that used to be in control. If you go in the dry season everything will be hazy from so high up, but if the day is clear you can see over the Ghanaian border from the summit. The trail through the woods is pretty well defined (though without markers of any kind) and passes through two mountain villages. If you're not sure the best way to keep going up just ask any of the people there and they can point you the way to the summit. This hike takes about 3 hours to ascend; from there you can call a taxi to come pick you up or hike down on your own. Make sure to bring plenty of food and water with you from town! See more..

  11. 4.0 Cascade D'akakpotoé (1 review)
    - Cascade d'Akakpotoé , Cadre Magnifique en pleine Forêt .
    Waterfalls
