My husband and I explored San Cristobal Canyon over 6 hours with professional guides from Montana Explora. The adventure was nothing short of exhilarating, and the scenery was breathtaking!! We started with a short hike into the rain forest, where we soon came to a river bed. Water levels were low, but despite, as we continued to walk, we witnessed more than a few cascading waterfalls. The highlights included rappelling down canyon walls and jumping from high heights into cool, clear, fresh mountain pools. Our guides, Ricky and Luis, shared their knowledgeable about the local trees and flora all along the way. When it came to the more challenging parts, they were extremely professional and patient. They perfectly gauged our abilities to the activities, so we always felt safe. Most of all, they made it really fun!! In fact, we had so much fun, we booked another canyoneering adventure with Montana Explora to do with my college aged daughter and her friend a few days later on the South Side of El Yunque. See Montana Explora - Tour on TripAdvisor for the review... BOTTOM LINE: If you're looking for a fun way to experience the hidden beauty of the island, I highly recommend exploring San Cristobal Canyon with Montana Explora!!! See more..

    San Cristobal Hiking Tour image
We were a group of 14, we enjoy a lot the experience. We go down the mountain to the place of rappelling, then rapelling about 60 feet to the blue river. Beautiful blue water! Then we swam to shore and continue our expedition. Then down to another pond. Then we began to climb 600 feets between rocks and ropes about 50 minutes. I loved the experience, super good to warm up the body and see the beauties that Puerto Rico has hidden. The tour started by 7:30am and finish at 1:00pm. The staff and the tour guide Sammy were very friendly. I want to come back!!! See more..

The house of Luis Munoz Rivera is an example of the typical domestic architecture of our towns. Objects and furniture that belonged to L.M.R are exhibited, such as a desk, a 1914 Pierce Arrow car (used in his political campaigns), and a plaster face mask, made by J. Albizu in 1916. See more..
