Standard resort based dive centre but with good to new equipment which all get placed into an assigned crate so you have the same equipment for all your dives on your holiday. Limited dive site choice in the 10 days we were there, mostly whale shark morning dives to the same site most days and then an alternative to a wreck once a week. Seem a little more geared toward those trying scuba or doing open water qualification. I did my advanced out there and generally had a great experience however they were not very clear on 1 of the dives being 2 minutes in the water which I still got charged for a full equipment rental. Could have been done after a morning dive if it was a tick box exercise for navigation. Most other centres around the world would have included a full dive, so on top of the prices being more expensive than doing your advanced anywhere else you also have to pay for your equipment and extra fees. So would not recommend doing advanced here as you will get a much better deal elsewhere in the world and probably a better service as I felt I was more an annoyance to the dive shop rather than being a more junior diver they could put on a group setting. Also, did my nitrox certification this was really good and one I would recommend getting here. Generally a good experience but some things would have been much better elsewhere. See more..

I recently did 10 dives here as part of a combined package with fuvahmulah. The dive sites around the island are amazing, and the sea life is incredibly abundant. The team was great and went above and beyond to find a whale shark, which we unfortunately did not find. I must warn that a lot of the dive sites are in the 20-30 metre zone and have strong currents so I would recommend having at least advanced open water. The only downside beside my luck was that I did not quite feel safe during some dives, as a beginner and solo traveler I used up my air quite fast and was not really payed attention to when we were diving in a group. I would also recommend having a DSMB in case you get separated from the instructor. Otherwise incredibly location on a gorgeous island! The dive center ist just incredible!! Anja, Susan, Sameer and Steve are just perfect. They organize everything even if something is out of their normal duties like broken stuff on a jacket. They will find a way to repair it!! One does not have to do anything except breathing in the sea and checking the air (or Nitrox) on the boat. I dived with Scubadivine in Dhangethi over a week. The dive team is unquestionably the best on the island, given its professionalism and regard for safety. The dive equipments were in perfect condition and the team took time to sit down with me and carefully explain the dive conditions and sites around the island. During our whale shark trip, the team was most patient and as a result we spotted the whale shark multiple times! I had wonderful dives with Maniu - many thanks to him for being patient and understanding whenever I faced any issue underwater. 10/10! I would surely visit and dive with them again. See more..

Fathu Dives is a small new diving operation in Danghethi, South Ari Atoll. We had a great three days of diving with them. The level of service is outstanding with everybody being super attentive and willing to go that extra mile to make diving with them super comfortable. I am talking about nice details like setting up your equipment, providing towels, rinse your stuff after your diving, tea and snacks on the boat and so on... The experience was also great under the water. The boat is small so it is the diving group which is always nice. Diving around Danghethi this time of the year (January) is challenging due to the currents so it really is a must to do it with experienced divers like Fazal. Kudara Thila is definitely a highlight but we also enjoyed the other dive sites. Dhangethi is very chilled island to be. We stayed at the Perla guest house which has a nice pool, comfortable rooms a very professional staff. Three restaurants and a bikine beach make Dhangethi a good spot to stay. We are a group of 2 couples and stayed on the MD Loabi for 5 nights. What an experience! Highly recommend to anyone who wants to experience the Maldives slightly differently. Sunrise swims, excellent snorkelling trips multiple times a day, visits to the local island and a bbq on a deserted island, wow. Hassan and his fabulous staff made our stay so relaxing. Abdullah led our snorkelling trips, always making sure we felt safe and helped us to spot sea life. Hassan has such a nice calm presence and taught us so much about Maldivian life and all the sea creatures. Islam sure knows how to marinate and cook a fish! The freshly caught mahi mahi we had on our beach BBQ was delicious. Sobir always had a huge smile on his face and always went the extra mile to ensure we felt relaxed. Fabulous Dive School, amazing excursions and once in a life time experiences. We travelled as a family of 4, 3 of us divers. The diving was phenomenal, plenty of choice, 3 dives a day. And even accommodated a special request for our last dive. The coral and reefs are amazing, and the experience of diving at Manta Point was amazing. The whole crew are so friendly and helpful. The excursions for the non divers were just as amazing. Marou and his crew gave us a day to remember finding 3 whale sharks and then around 20 manta rays, all snorkelling, and he went above and beyond to make sure our daughter saw them. From the start of the holiday, 19 september 2022, we only planned to do a couple of dives, since my partner did not have a diving license. But after she had done an introduction dive, she was excited and wanted to get het PADI Open Water Diver certification. With that in mind, we went back to SUB Aqau Angaga and made the arrangements, and I also registered to follow the Nitrox course. The staff is very friendly and very helpfull. My partner and I both got our certrifications! All in all we went diving almost every day for the duration of our vacation. Would recommend! See more..
