Scuba & Snorkelling

This was the only dive shop in Maafushi that responded to emails or Whatsapp messages which is why I chose them initially. They were very clear about the pricing policy and when it came to paying there were no surprise extras or taxes. Even though they were very busy with a large Norwegian tour group they made time for me to have individual tuition with senior dive instructor Adham and I successfully achieved my Open Water Diver Certificate and then had another 5 dives. All the dives were interesting. I saw a shipwreck, sharks, mobular rays, eagle rays, turtles, black and white and other corals and many many many reef fish. The dive guides were all qualified trained instructors as you would expect and they strictly maintained safety protocols at all times. All the staff I met with were friendly and helpful. I had a very positive experience and would happily recommend Maldives Passions both for diving lessons and recreational dives. See more..

In maldives swim with sharks is a must try and a life time experience. This activity is available across in Maldives but in cheap you will find in Maafushi. In Maafushi you will get it in $75 per person and there is scope of negotiation. Once you enter the ocean , you are surrounded by atleast 20-30 sharks that keep revolving around you and if you are lucky you get some ama,ING pictures with them. Do not stamp them or you h them as you will land up in a dangerous situation because I have myself witnessed shark biting a man who stapled it by mistake however it was not life threatening. Boatman use tuna fish to attract the sharks to creat wow experience for the divers. As it's covid period I would suggest you to carry your own snorkeling gear. See more..

Eco-dive folks are great! This was our first time scuba diving and thanks to them, the experience was very smooth. We took the Discover Scuba Diving (DSD). Right from the lessons to practice to equipment (scubapro), and the dive itself, everything was apt and efficiently done, after all they are SSI certified. The dive was more than satisfying. Mr Hussain and his brother were fantastic. We swam with sharks, saw sting ray, did scuba diving for adult and also for my daughter (bubble maker). It was great watching different kind of fish and other marine life, great corals etc. We did long hours of snorkelling. All the activities were perfectly recorded by drone action video, making it a s superb memory recording. Active water sports team was very good in Maafushi and we stayed there for 1 week, all day activities were fun packed by Active water sports and their stand is just 1 minute walk from Kaani Grand Seaview Hotel. There are home action with fantastic para sailing, fun-tube, Jet Skiing, kayaking etc with great experience. I am fully thankful to Active Water-sports team. We had the great pleasure of visiting this really pretty island end of january with the plan of doing a couple of dives there. After a great first experience with the Divepoint Rannalhi in the beautiful local reef where we felt really safe with the great instructors there, we immediately decided to do some courses with them, which was a great experience and allowed us to see spots we couldn't otherwise. They picked amazing and diverse dive spots, were super flexible and the training was simply great and fun. From the first moment on it felt like learning from friends. They were always open to help out and were very calm and patient with every question we had and really care. I couldn't wish for better instructors and people. We booked a full-day trip with Moana Trips and I only have good words to describe the experience. We got to see multiple animals while snorkeling (including sharks and dolphins!!!) and luckily we got a ton of amazing pictures to remember it thanks to pour guide Moose I would definetely repeat the experience with Moana Trips! We took two excursions with them. The whale shark and the ship wreck tour. We can't thank them enough how all was organized and all those special memories. Both of those trips the crew made us feel safe and ensured that we make memories that will last of a lifetime. Special mention goes to our guides of the whale shark trip. Sometimes the whale shark area can get crowded, but we liked the way how these guys handled the situation. They managed (call it luck or skill ) to find one in the shallower water and we get to see the whale shark for a good amount of time before all other boats rushed there.
