   urzuq caslte is one of the niciest touristic place in the middle way from Sabha (Sebha) to Ghat. The city looks calm and arabic/touareg style. There is nice, croudy and loud market about 200 meters from the castle. Castle itself is a Turkish defensive construction from which sultans of Fezzan once ruled. To get in we paid 3,5 dinars per head (2 Euro). Castle is situated on a hill so there is beautiful panorama from the walls. There is also an old and impressive mosque stending just next to the fortifications. Made from clay, exactly the same as the castle. Behind the wall there are also muslim graves. As soon as you get out of the Walls which surrounds castle you will find palm trees forest. City is calm and pleasant. It is nice to take a walk or drive arround. See more..
